100m from sea - House & garden for 4

😊: The location near the seaside in the little village was nice. But do not be mislead by the 100m from the sea, it does not mean 100m from the beach. It is forbidden to swim at that place, it takes 1km to get to a place where you can get to the water and swim.. 😢: The house is really too expensive for what it offers. The house is very small. The garden is a big mess. It had not seen a gardener since a year of more. Maybe the owner intends this house to be nice for vacation but it just is not managed in the right way. What we strongly disliked was how the concierge agency Hoomy was handling the administrative and organizational side of things. First, immediately after booking the house for 175Euro per night we got a mail that because we booked too late no bedlinen could be arranged. Then we got a very impolite mail that we had to transfer 800Euro to dodgy French Bordeaux startup as a deposite and were threatened that if we would not do so on time we would not get the key (the terms of conditions were stating that we would have to hand over 500 Euro deposit in cash to which we had agreed to). We were reluctant to transfer the deposit to this unknown digital company and feared we would never see the money back. We have been contacting the support service of booking.com. Then Hoomy sent as a reaction again that we should pay and that we only could enter the house until 20.30 to get the key or you should pay another 35Euro! At the end there was a key-box, we did not pay any deposit because there was nobody there. The next day a lady from Hoomy came to welcome us but although she had a nice smile there was no value add. After this experience, we would advise to avoid any house rented by Hoomy. For a house like this 100 Euro per night would be an OK price; this was definitely bad value for money..
