Empty Lake Travelled long distance to find the main lake had been drained. As fishing was one of the main reasons for choosing the gite it was a big let down, as the second smaller lake would hold only 15" of water making it unsuitable for the type of angling expected. We had made an enquiry before booking to check its suitability and feel we should have been warned of this change to a major facility advertised, as the gite is advertised as "fishing". Despite the owners initial quick response to the lack of internet, when she replaced the router, nothing was done was done when reception was lost after a couple of days; something else listed as being available which we had to do without. No mention of bed linen not being provided (glad we brought some just in case). One double bed was very hard, the other very soft and neither were comfortable. The kitchen area required us to clean before use and the upstairs toilet could have been cleaner. We couldn't find the gite manual, with emergency phone numbers, doctors location or how to recycle and where etc as we have always found in 3 ears of corn gites we have visited.
