4 Gite Apartment with suberb heated pool & fantastic views of the Lot valley

Very spacious clean property with a fab pool. The property is in a great location for sight seeing in the surrounding area. Shaun & Alison are good friendly hosts who are very respective of your privacy. The town of Prayssac is less than 10 minutes in the car and is lovely. Has everything you need including 2 good big supermarkets a few minutes from the centre of the town. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay again.

Very comfortable Gite in a great location for exploring the area. Furnished and equipped to a high standard . Very peaceful location with good views of the area. Pool area fantastic. Hosts cannot be more pleasant or helpful without being obtrusive..perfect! Would highly recommend.

We (a family of 4; 2 adults, 2 kids aged 9 and 13) spent the second half of August at "La Maison dans les Arbres", situated indeed amidst many trees in a hamlet a short distance from Prayssac, the pleasant local market town. The English family who own the house were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and it was a great pleasure to meet them. The house and large grounds were lovely - a haven of peace and a truly welcome break from our usual crazy Parisian life. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. The searing heat of the first week did not really allow for any frenetic touristy visiting and was mainly spent making the most of the good-sized pool in the grounds or sitting in the shade of the trees or in the apartment itself, which was remarkably cool at all times of day or night despite the extreme temperatures! The apartment was just as described in the announcement, with plenty of room for the 4 of us, and was perfectly clean on our arrival. It was a very agreeable place to stay in for our 2 week break. The kids slept (very well) in the bedroom, while we took the sofa-bed, which we can confirm is indeed comfortable – not like so many we have suffered in holiday homes before...!! Our children were amazed – and over the moon of course! – to find that there was both a Wii and a Playstation at their disposal, as well as a Blu-ray DVD player and flat-screen TV – which has access to both English and French TV channels – just perfect for us as an Anglo-French family. Mainly for the children, again, there is also to hand a large selection of mostly English DVD’s and books, and plenty of games too. All house linen is provided – even large towels for the pool, worth knowing so that you don’t needlessly fill up your suitcases with such bulky items! The region of France in which the house is situated is beautiful and there are many lovely places to visit and all manner of things to do. We easily got plenty of information before visiting from the website of the Lot tourist board, and also picked up loads of documentation from various places during our break which we left in the apartment for future visitors. In short, we would warmly recommend this address to any couples or families of 4 maximum seeking a good get-away-from-it-all place for their holiday, but with plenty of activities not too far away when the need is felt to do more than simply relax in the garden or the pool!!

We stayed for a week in this beautiful apartment which looks exactly like the photos on the website, though perhaps even more spacious than expected. The apartment was spotless, comfortable, well thought out and well equipped with all you need for your stay including books, DVD's, a wii and a Playstation. Making it suitable for both a couple or a family with children. Outside the pool was very large and well maintained with plenty of chairs and loungers for relaxing in the sun or in the shade of the trees. There are two furnished terrace areas outside the apartment suitable for eating outdoors. The warm hospitality of the owners was appreciated but they were careful to provide the perfect balance between friendliness and respecting our privacy. There are 2 well equipped supermarkets 10 minutes away in Prayssac; which also has a thriving market with local produce and excellent restaurants. Check out Plaisir Des Sens in the square, as recommended by the owners, We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this peaceful and quiet apartment and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
