We loved the gardens and the countryside location which was fantastic for three generations and two dogs! House itself beautiful and really well equipped for a comfortable stay no matter what the weather. We had a wonderful time so thank you!

A rustic, traditional French gite in huge grounds with an amazing pool. Perfect for families who what to get away from it all…with access to lovely French towns and canoe trips down the Dordogne. Warmly greeted by Elisabeth, who is very attentive and helpful.

The photos don't do this place justice. It's just lovely. A huge old family holiday house that has been cared for and loved for many years. It's wonderfully atmospheric and very well appointed. You really couldn't want for anything. Everything is super clean too. Perhaps the best thing though is the outside space. Along with a lovely pool, terrace, table tennis and brand new BBQ there's a private wood (yes a wood!). We loved walking through the trees and exploring with the kids. At night the skies are dark and the stars sparkle above. You can hear owls calling to each other through the trees. So peaceful. It's like another world. A few other thoughts. There's antique furniture and rugs so perhaps not ideal for toddlers. I'd have prefered duvets on the beds rather than sheets and blankets. The beds were quite comby though. Bathrooms are inevitably a bit dated given the age of the property but everything works and it's all spotlessly clean. There's a suggested cleaning fee on exit. But you're not obliged to pay it. The property is handed over to you so clean and tidy it's easy to keep it that way. All in all a really memorable holiday for all the right reasons and we'd certain go back. The region is also brilliant for families with castles, rivers, prehistoric remains and vast caverns all on the doorstep.

The owner met us on arrival and also dealt very quickly with a minor problem we had (using the washing machine). We had children ranging from 2-8 years old who all enjoyed the (very secure) pool and swings and having such large grounds for cycling, cricket etc. There are also toys and games at the house. The house has lovely traditional decour and is very well equipped with modern conveniences as well. The large terrace area was great for sun or shade during the day and a great size for eating together outdoors.
