Fantastic property and hosts. Convenient location, especially to walk into sarlat for the markets and medieval streets and close it the supermarket. Spacious house, with all the things you need. Pool was great and well used as the temperature was mid 30’s.Friendly hosts, pool was cleaned and checked during stay. Will definitely come again.

A great base and walkable distance to beautiful Sarlat with its markets, shopping and medieval buildings. Surrounding area and villages are all exquisite. Very comfortable, spacious, air conditioned house with wonderful pool.

The house is perfect, in lovely condition. Great pool and great hosts. The situation of the house is one of the best we have stayed in. 15 mins walk to the medieval town of Sarlat, which is full of great restaurants with lots of history to enjoy. Lots of beautiful places to visit in the surrounding area. We definitely recommend this house.

We really enjoyed our week at the house. Even though France was experiencing a heatwave with all-time record high temperatures, the house was still comfortably cool, because of the thick walls, shutters and air-conditioning. The pool was great for cooling down. We didn't venture too far as regards day-trips because of the high temperatures (over 40 degrees) but instead enjoyed a very relaxing time in the cool house and in the pool. The house is very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The garden is small, so although perfect for our toddler, it might not suit more active children. There is a playground down the road but it's sadly under-equipped. The walk into town was didn't take long at all. During the extreme heat, however, we drove into Sarlat in the evenings. We didn't have a problem getting parking. The owners and their son were very welcoming, polite and helpful, without being intrusive. All in all, a lovely relaxing week at La Brande.

The house was plenty big enough for our party of 8 (2 children and 6 adults). The aircon was a big positive with the weather being so hot. The pool is lovely and the whole property in and out is extremely well maintained. It is a ten minute walk to shops and bars and only another five right into the centre of Sarlat. There is also a large supermarket less than five minutes walk from the house. A really lovely week and a great location.
