Absolute peace and quiet in the Sologne countryside

We had a truly wonderful stay at this charming home. Peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located for exploring the Loire Valley. Every detail was thoughtfully considered—from the comfortable beds to the well-equipped kitchen and lovely outdoor space. Davy was warm, responsive, and made us feel incredibly welcome. Our only regret was not staying longer. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing escape in France!

Davy was a wonderful host and we really enoyed the property. Very quiet, but only a few minutes drive from the small village. Only thing I would change is installing some screens on the downstairs bedroom and bathroom window so there can be ventilation without bugs.

The place to be in tranquility, if you are not too big. Otherwise you will not fit under the shower, or get stuck up the stairs. For the rest it is pleasently spacious.

This is a simple but very pleasant place to stay. The property retains its traditional charm but not at the expense of practicality - the bathrooms have been completely modernised, the kitchen has new appliances and all the windows are double- glazed and secure . We particularly loved the ‘natural’ garden which is utterly peaceful and has plentiful garden furniture for eating outdoors, relaxing in the sun or reading in the shade of a tree. The kitchen was fine for us but would be on the small side for cooking family meals. The host Davy was extremely helpful and let us check in early. One warning, read Davy’s instructions about how to locate the property carefully. Like many before us we got led astray by Google and got hopelessly lost with no phone signal to help us find the house.

We were a bit lost trying to get to the house and meet the host. Google maps is limited. You will need to get the coordinates from the host and plug those into Google Maps. Once we found Davy everything went smoothly. Place is well appointed and clean. The spiral staircase to the 2nd floor is a bit small but in proportion to the house. Large beautiful yard. There is a a very good restaurant and patisserie nearby. Would definitely stay there again!
