Nice place in nice town

The manageress was charming, friendly, accommodating and did her best to be helpful. Aside from that, and the fact that the pool and garden were pleasant, I can find nothing agreeable to say about this property and I can think of plenty of colourful descriptions of its inadequacies. I have drafted a detailed and, I believe, factually accurate description of the premises, but the Vrbo website cannot accommodate the 1211 words of my review. That being the case, I have to limit myself to the following remarks: * The property contains multiple non-trivial hazards to health. In my view it is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues, or who is of above average height or weight. * Parts of it occasionally smell of sewage. * It holds itself out as capable of accommodating seven people. We were a party of three, and that was more than enough. * There is almost no working space in the kitchenette. There is no kettle and the grills above the stove lack tines sufficient to hold pans. The stove mostly did not work. * There is almost no privacy and, relatedly, almost none of the doors fit, or lock. * Most of the premises lack windows. It is effectively an underground habitation (for the most part). * It is difficult to comment on the cleanliness of the property because it is so gloomy. * Finally, the photos on Vrbo include two of the 'Property Grounds', which show a stream and a path. That stream and that path, wherever they are, are not on the grounds of this property.

A truly delightful stay in the south of France! Our host and her home provided a warm and authentic experience for both relaxation and pleasure. The nearby quaint Catalan village of Sorede, nestled at the base of the Pyrenees and near the Mediterranean seaside, punctuated the beauty and peacefulness of our stay. Whether it was driving through the vineyards and olive groves on the way to the market or enjoying the warm afternoon sun among the cedars and succulents in the pool garden, this stay was the "Joie de Vivre'!
