😊: Our second stay at this lovely apartment. The view from the kitchen-diner is worth a visit alone!.

😊: We loved everything about this property. The location is amazing. The view over the river beneath the property is beautiful, peaceful and exceptional. The hosts were incredibly hospitable. Alan and Ina went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to help us. My wife’s bag had gone missing on the flight into France and they were very sympathetic and accommodating, supporting us with our plans and arrangements to finally recover the bag when it was found. They went out of their way to help us when we Needed to return our hire car and move onto the Canal boat. They could not have done more to help us at all. We are very grateful for all that they did. Fontenoy Le Château is a beautiful town and is a must see destination. We would certainly go out of our way to return and stay with Alan and Ina again. Being the true English gentleman, Alan made sure to have some cold beers available in the fridge when we arrived. We then enjoyed very much their company in the evening as we sat around the table outside overlooking river and consumed many more beers and some lovely local wine. Alan is a history buff and gave us some good advice on visiting the US Army war memorial at Epinal nearby..

😊: I enjoyed a warm welcome from Alan and Ina to their self-renovated holiday flat with its gorgeous views from kitchen and terrasse over the canal and river to steep cliffs behind. The flat is beautifully furnished with nice touches and has everything one needs. The kitchen was fully stocked, sitting room was comfy with books and a TV, the bathroom and bedroom squeaky clean. Breakfast included fresh bread from the local boulangerie. I much enjoyed the red wine kindly left by the hosts and did not get an 'angover. :-) Great stay. Next time for longer, I hope.. 😢: It was perfect..
