A beautiful old building in the heart of a beautiful old village but with all the modern conveniences. Great local restaurants. We will be going again.
Excellent hotel located in a...
#128578; Simply an amazing place. I spend two nights here. The room was large and comfortable, and very clean. I can recommend their restaurant: perfect authentic French cuisine (lots'o meat though, so maybe not as great for vegetarians). I was traveling by bicycle, and they had a perfect spot for it. I would definitely return should I come to visit Saint Macaire again.
#128577; The wifi was a bit weak in my room, but it improved after the host was generous enough to reset it.
The room number 3 was spacious and convenient to two restaurants although the restaurant that was attached and assumed to be part of the hotel was not open at all. There was only a code entrance to the hotel and no information how to get in until we arrived and had to phone for information. The entrance and lobby is very tired and uninviting. The bathroom had a dirty and worn sealant around the whole of the floor/wall tiles to the point of being disgusting. The bed mattress is a cheap foam and uncomfortable to sleep on. Other than that the price was fair.

The our studio is bright and spacious with a terrace. It well situated in the medieval town of Saint Macaire. The restaurant serves delicious lunch ! We feast on fresh seafood.
