Appartement 2 chambres proche gare de Bordeaux

😊: There was nothing about the property that we liked. We have always been successful booking through booking.com, but sadly not this time. Bordeaux itself is a beautiful historic city, but not where this property is situated.. 😢: When we saw the photos of the property and the description, we paid 745 Euro's in advance for a 7 night stay (we were so dismayed on arrival that we had to abandon the property after one night and pay for another hotel in the Old Town). Clearly the photos are much better than reality. The neighbourhood was very run down, behind the station, graffiti everywhere, it did not feel at all safe. An old sticky table cloth was stuck to the kitchen table. Low bedroom beams. An open steep stairway with a sticky hand rail. I am technical, but could not get the TV to tune into any channels. No recycling bins outside the property. Three of the handles were missing off the kitchen drawers. Floor rugs had curled up with unsafe edges. Nearest food was the other side of the station..

😊: Great location for station, transport and town. Flat had lots of space and light. Lots of useful things for cooking...

😊: The apartment was spacious. 😢: We did not like the location at all. The area feels abandoned, dirty and scary…. And very far from Bordeaux city centre. The block also feels abandoned and it’s very old. The apartment is not well looked after, there was cracks in the walls/ceilings and peeled of walls… it didn’t feel like something that is being taken care of. There was two towels outside and the rest in a drawer and food in the fridge… it felt like someone was living there just until we arrived. It didn’t feel like it was made ready for an arrival. The shower was weird, the water was going freezing and then very hot… altogether I feel like it’s a place that is being rented purely to make money regardless of its state. Sorry but would not repeat. For a little bit more you can find something a lot nicer ..

😊: All facilities required for a self catering holiday.. 😢: Wobbly toilet seat!.

😊: The flat is nice with a location very close to the train station and public transport. The flat is quite large for a family of four..
