Appartement au coeur du centre historique

😊: This is a charming flat in a perfect location near the cathedral. It is in a new renovation of a beautiful 18th-century (?) private hotel. The entrance was gorgeous and the flat itself, on the ground floor as we wanted, was well equipped, clean and attractive. As an unexpected bonus, several of the residents in the building were especially friendly and helpful.. 😢: Two things prevent me from giving the property a straight 5-star review, as I would like to have done. The first is that the property managers were unreachable when I came to get the keys, though I was exactly on time. The coded front-door system did not work because the managers did not pick up the phone to authorise my entry. I was then unable to reach them on their direct line. Fortunately, another resident of the building came by and let us in. Thereafter all the check-in instructions worked perfectly. The second drawback is that there is no air conditioning in the flat and the small fan provided is not powerful. I knew in advance that this was the case, but both the manager and I hoped the temperature would be moderate in a ground-floor flat in an old building with thick walls. This was not the case in the middle of a very hot July, unfortunately, and our guests were so uncomfortable that they booked a room in a nearby hotel. This would not be a problem in any other season but as summers become increasingly hot it is a factor that needs to be considered..

😊: Great location, with the old town easily accessible. Modern and with all required amenities.. 😢: It was very hot when we stayed, and only 1 fan is provided - the hosts should definitely invest in aircon, or at least a 2nd fan. The sleeper couch is hard and not comfortable, I would suggest this place for a couple that don't need to use it..
