Bonne expérience pour commencer ses vacances à la montagne. Propre et accueillante. Philippe connait bien le coin et nous a indiqué de chouettes sorties pour une mise en forme. Location bien située : sur la route d’Ailefroide-on peut même y aller à pied et se récompenser d’un café pour la marche ! Près de Briançon et de nombreuses vallées pour randonnées.

We visited in mid June and found the apartment as described, and especially well equipped. The access and other guidance from Philippe and Francoise was clear and the communications with them worked well. We were just two, one in each taking a room, but the apartment would equally suit a small family or couple with friends. As we came to kayak the local rivers, it was excellently well located, with some of the region's best rivers on the doorstep and many others within a short drive, say 30km. Conditions during our week were perfect, with excellent weather and generous water levels. The apartment would be good for many local activities; walking, climbing, or simply exploring the area. The view from the balcony is fabulous and it is a great place to have a beer in the late afternoon and evening sun. Being on the third floor we found it caught the breeze well. The balcony overlooked the Gyr valley to the high mountains to the West and those to the south and North. The village was quiet in June, but offered some restaurants and shops for groceries, essentials and newspapers. However, the larger village of Vallouise is a short (2km) drive away with a more comprehensive range of shops. There are good footpaths to and from Vallouise on both sides of the river and it takes about 25 - 30 minutes at a good pace. Briancon and Argentierre-La-Besse are also close (c17km) with a greater range of shops and restaurants. Another charming feature of the village and the region was how helpful people were when we needed guidance. A great holiday, thank you.

Very comfortable appartment with super view at the Pelvoux. Also the position : you are in the centre of the Ecrins. Enough possibilities to make hiking trips! We had a perfect holiday!
