Appartement avec jardinet, fête interdite !

😊: Large apartment. Free parking outside property. There is a spacious front yard (maybe this is what is referred to as garden).. 😢: There were insects (many beetles and mosquitoes inside the apartment). Apartment was advertised as having air conditioning but it did not. The hosts stated that it was broken by the previous guests, but I did not see any indication that there was ever a fixed A/C unit there (I.e. no vent outlets). The host provided a fan but this was no compensation since Paris is 30-32 Celsius in the summer, and more importantly there are far better apartments closer to the city at cheaper prices that advertise availability of a fan but no A/C. The A/C was the deciding factor why we chose to stay further away. If there was A/C and it was broken then the host should have informed us before our arrival that it was broken (and we would have chosen another place to stay). Another issue was that when you close the door of the main bedroom, it cannot be opened from the inside. We were not informed of this, so when I got up to go to the toilet about 4am, I could not exit. I was banging on the door for about an hour until eventually my wife, who luckily fell asleep with our daughter, eventually came to release me. It was a terribly experience, feeling trapped, not knowing when I might be freed and desperate to go to the toilet. The next day, I informed the host that as there was no A/C the place was unacceptable to us, and we would leave and were okay to pay for the night we stayed but wanted a refund for the remaining two days. The host protested that the temperature had only been 21 C in the night, but this misses the point, we paid for A/C not a fan. Eventually with booking.com intervention we got back 70% of the money for the remaining two days..

😊: Amazing hosts, very clean, comfortable place. It’s going to be our first choice anytime we visit Paris. Highly recommended. Everything was perfect..
