😊: Good apartment, clean and in a very quiet neighborhood.. 😢: The instructions to get the keys could specify that you have to enter the building, if you arrive at night without light it's hard to know that it's not a private house. Communication could be at least in English if possible..

😊: Location was excellent and off road parking for a small car. Clean and tidy.. 😢: Sofa bed was not great and uncomfortable..

😊: Clean spacious ground floor flat which had the benefit of staying cool despite the heat wave. Great location for visiting Saumur.. 😢: A couple of things: The kitchen was missing a fruit knife. The 5pm check-in time is too late for a long day driving. We agreed a 4pm arrival with the host. We arrived at 3:30pm after a long trip on an extremely hot day. The apartment was empty, so we followed the host’s instructions and let ourselves in. We then emailed the host with a simple question and were shocked when they complained about our early arrival. First of all, they weren’t there; the apartment was clean and empty. Secondly, the host suggested we had violated an agreement and obtained something we hadn’t paid for. We have traveled all over the world to many different kinds of establishments from five-star hotels to simple self-catering apartments and never experienced this treatment. No one pays by the hour, and it costs nothing to let your guest in early if you can. It really dampened our first night in Saumur when we were exhausted from a long trip, but we very much enjoyed the rest of our trip..
