😊: Bedding was comfortable.. 😢: Instructions to open door to apt. were not explained correctly. My cousin, deborah was unable to access the apt on 8/23 after 2 hours communicating with the host. Exasperated, she wound up leaving the apt. building to stay with a another relative.When room was finally accessed on 8/24, the bed sheets and towels were folded but wet. There also was no air conditioning as advertised, only an oscillating fan..

😊: The host was very prompt in responding to messages, thank you. The studio apartment was very comfortable, with nice furnishings (bed, sofa, curtains) and a well-equipped kitchen area (2 ring hob, small stand alone oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, washing machine, fridge, plenty of cutlery, pots and utensils). The bathroom was a nice size with a good shower. The area was very quiet, and there was a small supermarket 5 minutes walk away. The main old town of Meaux was 15 minutes walk away, as was the really lovely lush canal...where we spotted otters and red squirrels!. 😢: To initially unlock the apartment door, you had to download a (free) app onto your smartphone and use that to link to bluetooth to electronically unlock the door. Especially with the language barrier for the instructions we were worried about this, though actually it did work fine. Once inside the apartment you could then use a proper physical key for the rest of your stay (or continue to use the electronic key app). The apartment faces west, with just one window (a french door) for fresh air. Because it was very hot when we were there, we kept the metal shutter blind down all day so as to not be too hot when we came back in the evenings, as we didn't want to risk leaving the french door open whilst we were out. Two bath towels were provided (there were two of us) but no hand towels for the wash basin, or for drying wet hair. These extra towels would have been useful..
