😊: The apartment itself is nice and in a very good location for cycling in the Pyrenees, with some lovely views from the balcony. There were plenty of cooking utensils, a TV, and the two bathrooms were a real bonus.. 😢: Just one week before our trip, we were contacted and told that we needed to bring our own bedding and towels. Fortunately, we were travelling by car, as this could have caused a significant problem with luggage and weight restrictions if we had been flying. The washing machine was also disappointing, leaving clothes very damp, and there was no real facility for drying clothes. The swimming pool was closed during our stay, which was another disappointment. We were also presented with a three-page inventory listing virtually every item in the apartment. Presumably, this is intended to be checked with the owners, otherwise it has little practical relevance for guests. Most disappointing, however, was the number of messages and instructions regarding leaving the apartment exactly as we found it. These included instructions to clean the toilets, dispose of rubbish, charge the vacuum cleaner, empty the dishwasher, and put tea towels and bath mats into the bins provided. This was accompanied by the warning of a €75 fine if everything was not completed to a satisfactory standard. We found this approach rather excessive and, frankly, insulting. It made us feel more like we were being given a list of cleaning duties than enjoying a holiday, and unfortunately it tainted our overall experience of what is otherwise a perfectly nice chalet. We have previously stayed at Les Balcons de la Neste, and for future trips to the area we will return there. We did not experience any of these issues during our previous stay, which makes the contrast particularly disappointing..
