APPARTEMENT COTE D'OPALE

😊: The appartment was cute and well furnished. The kitchen has everything you need to cook as at home. Coffee pods were a nice touch. The building is a 5 min walk to the rampart. Parking was good.. 😢: There is a weird smell when you turn on the tap of the hand wash basin in the bathroom, and the extraction fan is noisy during the night..

😊: The key were easy to collect. It was a standard process. We got the code open the safebox. Got the keys.. 😢: We were not warned that the apartment was on the second floor, and the building doesn't have a lift. So we had to carry our bags up the stairs. The staircase has character, it is an old wooden staircase. Please do not change it, it is a master peice. The building is also old , with a feel of the countryside all-over the interior. The owner did their best to bring it to the 21 century. The toilet does not have a basin. You have to walk across the appartment to the bassin, locate at the back of the bedroom. This, in my opinion, needs urgent attention. A small basin on top of the toilet cistern csn be place without too much effort. Hot water is available. Both in the kitchen and in the shower, with good flow, however there is no shower gel/soap. Towels and bed linens are supplied. The property is very clean! The small storage inside the bedroom is very mignon. It does bring back the countryside feeling. Some may not like it but i thought it was very nice! The owners were very accommodating and try their best to make our stay pleasant. This is a very nice clean property with a lot of character, but need some attentions..

😊: The apartment appeared to be clean and there was a parking space outside.. 😢: Nowhere, in the description that I read, said the apartment was up very narrow twisty stairs. There was no way my husband and I could get our cases up, even though we are quite fit 75 year olds. Unfortunately we could not stay at the apartment and had to make other arrangements. I contacted the owner and explained this, that we would not be staying and why. The other problem was that the bed was up against the wall, and so one of us would have had to climb over the other to get to the toilet during the night. It just wasn't for us..

😊: Small apartment close to the main attractions Good location. Best for max 3 people.. 😢: Not sure if you can recycle as only one waste container available to residents outside the flat..
