Appartement esprit petite maison - Proche centre - Confort & calme

😊: Excellent location (remember Cauterets is hilly). Apartment is lovely and has parking outside. There are 2 good sized bedrooms, comfortable seating area for 2/3 people. Ability to cook an advantage.. 😢: Policy of insisting on €1200 euros IN CASH (to be handed to a 3rd party on arrival).To be fair it is in the policies listed within booking.com but not immediately evident when booking! When questioned, owner said he would accept cheque but by then I was already in France. Extras are expensive: 70 euros cleaning fee unless you agree to do it (and that includes EVERYTHING)! And we were told it would be checked before we left! No soap or washing up liquid. €17 for double bed linen plus €7 if you want bed made up! €9 for a towel set. Dishcloth €2. All this caused a fair amount of angst prior to arrival which you don't need on holiday! For some reason (possibly because I raised it with booking.com, I didn't incur any deposit for which I was grateful. However, I waited for 'a knock at the door ' for a while. I left the apartment spotless!.
