Appartement moderne Senlis

😊: The apartment itself is located in a nice building separated from the main street and it sits on the top floor of a larger apartment complex. The building itself sits behind a gate, including the parking space. It is within walking distance to the center of Senlis, we walked easily there each, even time with young kids (incl. 6 year old). It has a couple of nice restaurants. The apartment is quite spacious. There are two spacious bedrooms with a lot of storage space, which I like and you don't see often. The bathroom is also of a decent size, as well as the kitchen and the living room. The kitchen was well equipped. There is also a washing machine, vacuum cleaner, and mop to keep things in order during your stay. There is a smart TV so you can easily connect YouTube and Netflix, etc. I saw some complaints about checking into the apartment in earlier reviews. We did not experience this at all. The instructions are very clear, including clear pictures. You need to have an internet connection for it indeed, so make sure that works or download and screenshot it to yourself in advance. Pro tip, besides the castle of Chantilly, which I can highly recommend, it is very easy to visit Paris for half a day or longer from here. There is a guarded parking lot which cost about €6 for almost the whole day, right behind Orry-la-Ville-Coye station. From the station it is one stop (€8.70 each way, tickets at the machine or easily at the SNCF app), taking 19 minutes to Paris Gare du Nord.. 😢: Though definitely not a deal-blocker, the cleanliness could be improved here and there as some elements are a bit dated. For example the shower has mold stains and when the kids were walking with bare feet on the floor they got black over time..

😊: It was modern with good decor and eventually secure parking. 😢: The need to use of an app to access codes to enter which didn’t work without WiFi. It took us over 2 hours to enter and host and booking.com were of no help. Also, not one fan or cooler in the apartment which meant it was too hot to sleep. It’s ridiculous for any August let alone one in a heatwave. We honestly wished we had not bothered and gone straight home. There were no instructions or any helpful information on things around. We could not turn off what seemed to be underfloor heating. On way out you have to navigate getting car out and then needing to go back via codes to drop off keys. Prior instructions would have helped and option to get a text messsge which doesn’t need WiFi with the codes needed would have helped..

😊: Very spacious and well-equipped. 😢: No AC.
