Au Clos de Lumière, un environnement exceptionnel : venez vous ressourcer !

We had a great week at Karl & Béatrice's house in the mountains: the house was fully equipped, nicely furnished, super clean, and it has the best views on the nearby peaks in the Devoluy mountains. It was close to a village with a boulangerie and not far from Gap. And close to lots of hiking trails and swimming spots. Can only recommend! - Lucy

If you like peace and quiet, then you've come to the right place. What an incredibly beautiful location and the view of the mountains is amazing. The gite is fully and very well equipped. The owners are very friendly and very nice people. They live next to the gite where they also have bed and breakfast. You can always contact them with questions and they will give you an explanation about the area on your arrival. The surroundings are beautiful and the location of the gite is wonderful. The good weather of Provence and the view and cool nights of the French Alps. A paradise for walkers. Plenty of opportunities to swim in river or lake. The town of Gap is a 10-minute drive away for lovely outdoor cafes and restaurants. Embrun is an hour's drive away and is beautiful! Thanks for the nice holiday. We enjoyed!

This has probably been one of our best vacations so far: the house is well equipped, cozy, with a private garden + outdoor amenities and crop field’s right in front. Kids can play safely all around the area as there is no traffic and adults can relax and enjoy the tranquility and the beautiful surroundings. There are also great hiking routes both for the family and for adults. And of course, Super Devoluy is right in the nearby. Last but not least, the owners, Beatrice and Karl, are polite and helpful people - we will surely repeat!

No pictures that you see will prepare you for the jaw dropping beauty of this area of France. My husband and I traveled there to visit a friend and the charming cottage became our base for exploration. We found it spotlessly clean and comfortable. In the kitchen are all the tools you will need for preparing delicious meals. (visit the market in Gap on Saturday buy your supply of wine at Bertrand and have lunch next door at Bouchon!!) You have a nice private yard and picnic space just outside the cottage and there are very gentle walking paths nearby, especially one just down the road that follows a canal. Your very helpful hosts can direct you there or to one of the more challenging mountain hikes. Then no worries about a crazy retrofitted bathroom that you so often find in Europe. The shower area is down right luxurious with two sinks a spacious tiled shower and heater to keep you cozy. There is also a washing machine for your laundry. We would wholeheartedly recommend this property and can't wait to return. Pearl and Bob

Our hosts Karl and Beatrice were charming, friendly and welcoming. There chalet was beautiful, clean, comfortable and had the most incredible views, the peace and quiet and the total darkness at night (which allowed us to do a spot of stargazing) were better than we could have hoped for. We would recommend this property for anyone who wants to totally relax, there is also plenty of fabulous walking opportunities ,we loved it.
