This is a lovely rustic country house on an acreage minutes away from Amboise. The hostess Marie-Josephe is a lovely woman who is very generous with her produce from her garden and fruit trees. Her free range chickens are entertaining and the eggs are delicious! We would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a quiet, out of the way location, yet within minutes to Amboise, the Chateau, restaurants, and vineyards!

If you enjoy staying in a barnyard with chickens roaming into your accommodations and defecating, you'll love this house! The moldy house, antique mattresses and chickens will leave asthmatics grasping for their inhalers. Be sure to have health insurance if you're traveling from abroad as you'll most likely be getting some infection from your stay.

Lovely stay in a beautiful property. The hosts were so kind - answered all our questions, a lovely homegrown welcome gift and thoughtful welcome to the house for us and our children. The house is surrounded by wonderful grounds, our children loved the chickens, and we were able to enjoy the fruit and herbs grown in the gardens. The house itself is of a time with beautiful and quirky period features (and its own unique legend!), but has everything you need. Perfect base for Châteaus and family fun - lulu park was fab! Would recommend, thank you!

It was charming, we felt like we were living like French locals. Marie was the highlight, the most charming woman who took care of us and made us feel very comfortable. I will come back someday!

Marie and her husband did an outstanding job remodeling an old home that was part of a family compound. All the amenities for a pleasant stay are available. If we spoke French, it would have been so nice to share stories with them. Marie definitely made us feel at home!

The house is very close to Amboise and the many chateaus in the Loire Valley. It is in a beautiful setting in a rural area outside Amboise. The house was as described and is very comfortable. Every morning we enjoyed fresh eggs provided by our host. Our host was very nice and gave a complete tour of the house. It was very hot during our stay but the house was comfortable and we even had a fan. We highly recommend this property.

This house was perfect for our holiday and the fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden were delicious! It is beautifully quiet but close enough to town. The house and facilities were all we needed, plenty of room for the four of us (2 adults and 2 teenage girls!). Marie is a fabulous host and she suffered my terrible French very politely!

Un séjour très agréable dans cette magnifique maison où l'accueil et la communication avec les propriétaires étaient géniaux. Dans la maison, on trouve tout le nécessaire : ustensiles de cuisine, linge de maison, etc. L'extérieur est également très appréciable avec ce magnifique jardin rempli de fleurs et de poules. Un bouquet de roses fraîchement cueilli nous attendait à l'arrivée. Marie Josephe est une hôte de très gentille, bienveillante et disponible. Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu de vacances !
