Au cœur du vignoble champenois

😊: The location is good and comes with free parking. Water pressure in shower is great.. 😢: 1) Poor cleanliness - dirty bedding 2) Spiders, cobwebs and mosquitos everywhere 3) Poor/ no communication with hosts 4) No fan in the property when host said there was one 5) Sink in bathroom didn’t work.

😊: The living and dining area were clean and kitchen was equipped with what we needed for our 2 night stay. 😢: 1. We booked several months ago and informed our host of our time of arrival the previous night. After sending several messages to the host to understand how to gain access to the property, we arrived at our apartment at 4pm without any information on how to access the lock box for the key to the apartment. We had attempted to make contact for 2.5 hours whilst standing outside the apartment with our 2 young children in 38 degrees heat. 2. The apartment did not look clean. Kitchen and living area were fine but the shower had lots of hair and carried a stale smell. The bedding was very dusty and dirty and seemed to have just been turned inside out. There was also rubbish left outside the front door which was there for our entire stay and had lots of flies surrounding it. The ivy around the apartment and windows had lots of insects which was probably the reason there were so many spiders and cobwebs in the apartment. 3. We knew we had booked this place that lacked AC but considering the high heat levels, we were not even supplied with a fan. Because of ivy and branches coming into the shutters we couldn't leave the windows open in fear of more insects coming into the apartment (there was even a birds nest in one of the windows in the bedroom!). Overall I'm not sure how this place is still running. It would have been fine if the upkeep was there but sadly it's not been looked after..

😊: Great location and parking nearby. Walking distance to the town centre and to the vineyards for some picturesque walks.. 😢: If you don't like spiders be warned. There where many on entry along with lots of cobwebs. They are harmless but personally prefer them to be cleared..
