😊: Nice location, good value for the money. 😢: BE AWARE. The 200€ deposit by bank transfer is quite a hassle, especially if you book for just one night. The owner is polite and correct, but one simply does not feel welcome under those circumstances. I paid it and got it back. The info about the deposit is hidden in the so called ‘important information’, which is at the bottom of the booking screen, only visible if you click down on an arrow … which of course I did not notice when I made the booking. When the owner sent me a message asking for the deposit, I initially thought I got scammed. @the owner, I have read your explanation in the replies to comments by other guests. No need to repeat it here..

😊: What a lovely property, in the charming little town of bar Sur Seine. We needed to stay overnight as we were picking our car up from a garage in the town the next morning - we found this property and thought it looked good... and it was! Double bed and sofa bed, well equipped kitchen, and a good bathroom. All perfect.. 😢: This is not a "didn't like" point, just a note to help others... Access information says "once in the courtyard" - but we didn't immediately see where this meant! You need to look for "4 Bis" on the building, and go through the metal gates to the left of "La Maison des Services" into the courtyard - the steps to the property are on the right at the end..

😊: Nice location in the center of Bar sur Semois.. 😢: Owner abused my deposit to deduct cleaning costs for two cups left in the kitchen and a sink that was so-called not clean. I recommend not to grant the request for a deposit because every excuse is used to deduct an amount from the deposit. Also, there were no sheets for the second bed. Very steep stairs to get to the apartment on the second floor..

Good studio apartment and facilities...<br>#128578; Very old and quaint building, and as noted by all other reviewers, very steep and narrow stair to the apartment. Not a problem for us, as we are fit cyclists and rock climbers! Apartment (studio) well equipped and good facilities. Care needed for taller people as large wooden beam close to bedside. Apartment only minutes walk from centre of very attractive medieval town with several shops. Local supermarket a few minutes walk away. Questions sent to owner were responded to promptly and politely...<br>#128577; A damage deposit is required. When imposed, these are usually taken by credit card authorisation for apartments (and, e.g. cycle hire), but in this case it had to be by international bank transfer and exchange of IBAN details. This was more complex and required internet bank access over insecure wifi or mobile. It also relies on the owner repaying the money later. In this case it worked well but still incurred extra cost (> 15 euro) because of the currency exchange difference between payment...
