Authentique et confortable logis au cœur du Périgord Noir, en bord de rivière

The house was spacious and comfortable, and the pool was great. The location was a convenient walk into a small town for breakfast or necessities or a short drive to Domme. We loved being so close to the river. Despite the heat, the house stayed cool and the AC in the tower rooms worked great.

We stayed here for a few days as a group of friends after a wedding in a nearby Département. The house provided everything you could need for a relaxing stay in a beautiful and convenient location. Fantastic outside space with a. Large pool, which can be converted to indoors with the electric enclosure. Great hot tub, bbq facilities and outdoor activities such as a pétanque pitch and a trampoline. Inside, the house is superbly equipped for group stays with every convenience. The welcome experience was among the best we’ve ever encountered with the friendly and knowledgeable Marie-Odile and Laura explaining everything clearly. Nice touches like free beach towels for use by the pool, wine, etc. We will definitely be returning in future for a longer stay!

We enjoyed a lovely week in this house with its excellent pool and garden. The house is about 50 yards from the Dordogne and next to a canoe hire company. This resulted in many hours of fun for all our family. Marie-Odile is a lovely lady and knowledgeable host. She advised us on local restaurants and we visited an excellent one in Domme on two evenings. The other evenings we ate in the garden of the house which was lovely and very relaxing. Thank you Marie-Odile for providing us with such a wonderful holiday.

We were a group of 16, 8 kids and 8 adults. The house was a great size, plenty of space and two big rooms for the kids to share. Lovely barbecue and garden, plenty of outside space to eat together. Two dishwashers and two fridge freezers! Big kitchen. Marie, the owner, let us know when as he was coming over, was very friendly, helpful and kept the pool and garden well maintained. She gave us lots of delicious tomatoes, courgettes and walnuts from her garden. Pool was a really good size with the option to be covered or uncovered, really useful given we had thunderstorms on our first day! We were next to a canoe hire place and spent a great day meandering down the river on canoes. The whole area is spectacularly beautiful! The walk to Domme is steep but worth it.

Great facilities, pool spa amazing, 3xfamily dining areas, two dishwashers!! Shower facilities in every bedroom and the owner was so helpful and accommodating. Traditional French farmhouse feel and great facilities for children. The barbecue area was exceptional.

Eleven family and friends gathered to celebrate my sister's 80th birthday. We cooked wonderful dinners at the well-equipped maison, ate a fabulous meal at Cabinouix et Chataigne in Domme, and had an over-the-top Indian feast cooked by Chef Imtiaz Hasan. Memories are made of this! Merci, Madame!
