😢: The place was a building site there was building materials everywhere and for a place that is dog friendly it was unsafe for dogs The lighting outside was non existent so you could see what you were doing on arrival Some of the facilities were a little basic.

😊: Read the next part...... 😢: Everything could be better. Communication from the host for a start. Getting into the accommodation was terrible. We spend an hour in the rain trying to sort this then thankfully had the help of a stranger who was able to help us. Very kind young man who thankfully spoke just enough English. No communication from the host at all despite multiple messages sent. After we finally got in , the place we stayed at had dead flies on the floor, very unclean and dirty bedding. We had no choice but to stay as had nowhere else to stay for the night. Host was extremely rude. Said there was loads of alcohol bottles left from us on our departure- which is a huge lie. Host doesn't want to accept fault for the awful accommodation and whole key situation. Overall - AVOID at all cost. You won't get a refund either - host just lies and lies. Very disappointed..

😢: We feel very disappointed. We rented cottage number 86, and on the day of arrival, I was informed that we would be staying in cottage number 80. It turned out that the cottage was dirty. There were tons of mouse droppings in the bed and on the bedpost. We reported this and were given another cottage number 84 which was also dirty. I asked for different bedding and towels. Unfortunately, the bedding provided was also dirty. When I mentioned that this cottage was also dirty, the owner told me I was rude and that I could call Booking.com and report the problem. My partner went to buy bedding and towels so we could stay, and I had to clean the bathroom. We do not recommend this place to anyone and strongly advise against renting any cottage in this location..

😊: The lodge was modern, clean and comfortable, with a large flat screen TV. We could access Netflix. There was also a washing machine.. 😢: When we arrived we were unable to access the property. ( for the 2nd time, as we had booked the same property 2 weekends in a row and we were unable to access it then as well.) There was no 24 hour reception as, stated on booking.com. If there was it was not signposted. We messaged and called the owner, who advised that the pin number had been changed. She gave me the correct number and we did manage to access the property. There was no where to put your clothes..

😊: The property was clean. Please see further info.. 😢: I am unable to give a true review as on arrival we were unable to access the property we booked, number 86. A very nice gentleman helped us, we presumed he was the concierge, however he did not speak much English. He eventually managed to speak to the owner and open the key safe, however the key inside did not open the property. He then gave us a key to another property, number 92. That property was clean and comfortable, however after speaking to the owner of number 86, we were told she did not own number 92. Therefore I am unable to give a good review. There was no 24 hour reception as stated in the description: if there was it was not signposted..
