😊: The house is very large, on 2 floors, well equipped for a short stay and furnished with nice style. It is 30 minutes walking from the center, or 15 minutes using the metro.. 😢: The host requires a security deposit with an external service, which is simple but annoying. The check in is very late (18:00) and we couldn't even just leave our bags before that time. At the same time, the check out rules are very strict with fees for the delay. The toilet is on the ground floor, separated from the rest of the bathroom, which is on the first floor, together with the bedroom: normal thing in France, but strange for foreigners..

😊: The games machine was a nice touch And couldn’t wait to leave! Lille centre is worth visiting though. 😢: The check on time changed twice, originally it was 4pm when I booked then changed to 5pm then on the day 6pm!! Although the cleaner had already been in… but you wouldn’t know! It wasn’t clean at all. 1/4 of a toilet roll in the toilet, which was downstairs (with no towel downstairs) so you had to either bring the one towel (each) you’d been allocated downstairs or go upstairs to wash your hands! It wasn’t dirty and not been maintained well The facilities were terrible. 1 glass each so you couldn’t for example have a glass of water and a glass of wine, you had to use a cup instead or wait until you’d finished your water to use a tumbler for wine! 1 coat hanger…. Literally! No wardrobes/drawers The fridge didn’t close properly, the legs I’m guessing needed adjusting. Very tatty property, it might have been nice originally but definitely not now. The location is awful, definitely don’t feel safe returning in daylight let alone night time. On one occasion there was a masked male with something in his hand who was walking in front of us then saw us and turned back towards us, very unnerving when you have to put a 8 digit code to get into the property and a long way from the centre, with “nothing on the way” just highway/main roads and bike lanes to navigate. One of my worst stays ever..

😊: Good size. 😢: Basics were very short ie little toilet paper and barely any soaps.

😊: not applicable. 😢: I was forced to place my card details witha company swikly that I had never heard of. I find this to be intrusive and very unbecoming of a very modest apartment. We had to wait outside for 15 minutes for the entry code, lucky it was not raining but it did make us late for the concert we were going to. the TV downstairs was not working and the toilet is on the ground floor and the staircase is very steep! I suggest a shelf or some tray to hold toiletries in the shower and fix the valve on the toilet that will run forever if u do not intervene. I will not be rebooking but it was spacious and not too far from fives metro the bed was too soft but that is not a criticism as some would prefer that.
