Beau village calme et bourguignon à proximité des commodités locales.

We enjoyed our stay in Panneçot very much and were delighted to communicate with Dominique, who was calm, practical and very helpful, thank you Dominique. The cottage is in an ideal location. Everyone slept soundly and we enjoyed tractors going past the doorstep and giving a wave in the morning. A small note - I have left enough toilet paper for the next guests. Not possible to buy in the little hamlet and with families, maybe good to err on side of generous...

We love coming to the area and this house is just wonderful - cool inside when the weather was extra hot. We timed the stay for the July 14th celebrations and vide-grenier which was extra fun to see so many people out and about! Dominique met us at the house, let us in, and gave us her phone number in case we needed anything while we were there. Would definitely recommend - the area also now has a 4G phone signal so I had to disconnect my phone from data to stay away from work emails :D :D We'll be back again!

Maison agréable avec une cuisine très bien équipée (il manque juste un plongeur à soupe, en hiver, c'est pratique !). La maison était très propre à notre arrivée et Dominique en charge de l'arrivée et du départ est très aimable. Pour cette semaine de fin de décembre, nous avons bien profité des 2 poêles à bois (disponible gracieusement, merci John). Pour les environs, nous recommandons la balade le long du canal (même s'il est actuellement vidé pour la création d'une passe à poissons) et une très bonne table à Moulins-Engilbert.

Rien à dire, tout est très bien équipé, la maison est belle, spacieuse et très fonctionnelle. La terrasse est très appréciable et spacieuse également. Dominique qui gère l'accueil et le départ est très sympathique, elle nous a même indiqué les activités prévues à Pannecot lors de notre séjour. Quant à John, l'hôte, il est très disponible et répond rapidement à toutes les questions. Très bon séjour en Bourgogne !

Nous avons apprécié ce très grand gite très fonctionnel pour une grande famille. Il est très bien situé et nous a permis de profiter du calme de la campagne et des faire de belles randonnées à la découverte de cette région.

As before, we really enjoyed staying at this property. It is in a beautifully quiet location but still within easy access of other attractions. However, this year, because of COVID 19 most of the time was spent lounging at the property to recharge our batteries. The weather was superb which helped with this. We shall be back.

We were making a return visit to this lovely property to enjoy it in the autumn. Again we walked along the Canal du Nivernais and also went bike riding (there are eight bikes at the property). The property is beautifully appointed - it lacks for nothing in the way if appliances, there is even an ice cream maker, a bread maker and an electric egg boiler if needed! We will definitely be back as we love the area and this is such a lovely property. Plenty of room (it sleeps ten no problem)

I spent a few lovely quiet days here with my grandson, during a spell of wonderful hot weather. We spent time relaxing on the large patio in the sunshine as well at going for walks along the Nivernais Canal which is extremely close by. The house stayed beautifully cool despite the outside heat, so when it got too hot outside we could make use of the English TV or DVDs (or the French TV in the kitchen!) to relax. The hot weather enabled us to have two barbecues in the evening and we ate out on the patio. The house has every possible amenity to make the stay very comfortable. Although the village does not have any shops itself, Moulins Englilbert is only about 5km away and has a good supermarket, pharmacy, butcher etc which provided all the daily shopping that we needed. The Lac des Setons is not too far away, where we could hire pedaloes/boats , and could swim if we wanted to. Although WiFi is not available within the property, it is readily accessible at the nearby campsite, which also has a restaurant (with a themed evening on a Thursday). I found the website www.lebarrage.fr excellent and particularly helpful, with details of walks, restaurant, nearby attractions etc etc.
