Beautiful 250 year old Village House in centre of Roussillon with stunning views

A super traditionel Provencal house - and as it is used by the host and his family as well (when no guests are there), it is not a steril holiday home but beautifully "lived in". Everything you need is in the kitchen - oil, balsamico, herbs and even very delicious jam. Very generous. The house is very big, so perhaps too big (and expensive) for a couple only. We have been in October - when it gets very chilly in the evenings already and one has to heat an open fire in the small lounge. The more pleasant family room on the top floor does not have a heater. Also, the outdoor pool is not open anymore.The owner of the house is very responsive to any questions, communication was very easy. All in all, a top house with a brilliant balcony and view. This was our second visit to this location. We were just as thrilled to be there as we were the first time. It's the perfect location both for it's convenience and it's aesthetics. We love the town, the ochre hills, the shops and it's proximity to many other beautiful sites. The property Manager, Joanna did a wonderful job of showing us amenities and then telling us about local attractions. It was great to see her again. Thanks Joanna.

Our stay was near perfect! Roussillon is a perfect village. Our house was fabulous and Joanna could not have been more helpful.

Lovely structure in great location.The excessive amount of stairs should have been highlighted and was not clear to us prior to arrival. Two people in our party use assistance to walk and the stairs were very difficult. Check in too late.travel from US to village 17 hours then a 7 hour wait to access the house

We were two couples. Wonderful, Interesting place. Lots of stairs - so not good for those with mobility issues. Spectacular terrace (although weather wasn't very cooperative). We felt like nobility! Joanna was wonderful and did a thorough overview of the property. Loved it!

Terrific property in beautiful location. Roussillon is very convenient to explore local area, Gordes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Ménerbes and further afield such as Arles, Aix-en-P and Avignon. At the end of each day we enjoyed the stunning evening 'magic hour' on the rooftop, sipping local wines. The property manager was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay at Maison Roussillon. The home was stylish and well equipped making for a very relaxing and rewarding stay in the heart of the village. We enjoyed cooking in the well outfitted kitchen as well as dining at two excellent restaurants within east walking distance—Omma and Le Piquebaure. And climbing the stairs and doing several local walks helped work off the good food and wine. Each evening we enjoyed an aperitif on the rooftop terrace… a welcome oasis from all the tourists traipsing in for the day to enjoy the town an see the ochre cliffs. Our local property manager was very helpful, exposing how everything worked in the home and answering all our questions. All in all a great experience.
