Beautiful chalet near the center of Briançon

😊: The cat next-door and the lady next-door. 😢: Bedding was a nightmare. Nails sticking out the floorboards. Light fittings. Creaky floorboards..

😊: Lovely chalet with everything you need. Very clean and great correspondence from owner and on site person. Really warm too. Very quite area. Lots of living space, we had 6 in the group and was still loads of room. Comfortable beds.. 😢: Location isn't in near centre of Briancon. It's actually in the next village. It's a 40 minute walk to ski lift so really need a car or lots of taxis..

La proximité de Briançon sans en avoir les inconvénients.<br>#128577; Le grincement du parquet, horrible, surtout la nuit et avec des enfants. Pas de Barbecue même à gaz, c'est dommage, on ne profite pas complétement de l'extérieur. L'ombrage sur la terrasse plus que mini.

Lovely location in a quaint...<br>#128578; We loved having the place to ourselves and really relaxing. Two couples, we had our choice of a room each, plus the common areas and outside space. The location was the best!<br>#128577; The floors were very squeaky, you had a hard time talking and being heard while anyone was walking around. Also we didn’t know sheets and towels were an extra charge.

Overall a charming house, but...<br>#128578; We appreciated the special facilities available, like the fireplace, fondue machine, washing machine, dishwasher. We also liked the woody charm of the old house and old wooden furniture, which let us overlook the creaky floorboards and not-great soundproofing. The living room is a good communal space. We also liked the large snowy expanse behind the house, which was pretty.<br>#128577; We did not like that the Booking.com page did not immediately/clearly inform us that a linen package would have to be purchased before arrival, so only a few beds had bedsheets upon arrival, and none of the duvets. Moreover, the links sent by the host in the days prior to our arrival did not display any information about the linen package besides its price of 25 Euros. It was also rather surprising that towels and a floor mat were not provided (unless these were also supposed to be part of ...

We also liked the woody charm of the old house and old wooden furniture, which let us overlook the creaky floorboards and not-great soundproofing. The living room is a good communal space. We also liked the large snowy expanse behind the house, which was pretty.. 😢: We did not like that the Booking.com page did not immediately/clearly inform us that a linen package would have to be purchased before arrival, so only a few beds had bedsheets upon arrival, and none of the duvets. Moreover, the links sent by the host in the days prior to our arrival did not display any information about the linen package besides its price of 25 Euros. It was also rather surprising that towels and a floor mat were not provided (unless these were also supposed to be part of the 'linen' package, which is doubtful because these things are unlikely to be counted as 'linens'). More toilet paper/any hand soap in the toilets would also have been good. The hot water at night was also inconsistent (suddenly becoming freezing cold mid-shower). We also did not like that there was no free wifi, which is compounded by how the location is slightly remote if one is not driving. It would be helpful to amend the arrival instructions to specify that there are 2 wooden chalets in the area (instead of there being only 1 as the host specifies), and that the house is actually the one further down the river..
