Great place for relaxing. Well equipped kitchen. Nice pool with beautiful mountain views. Lovely garden. Host was very nice and charming.

Il s'agissait pour nous d'une réunion de famille: 15 personnes dont 7 enfants. Le gîte était amplement dimensionné pour notre nombre. Il est très bien équipé, décoré avec goût et originalité; il est situé dans un cadre magnifique, s'agissant aussi bien du jardin et de la piscine (malheureusement nous n'avons pas eu assez chaud pour en profiter vraiment), que de la vallée dans laquelle il est blotti. M Chevaux, le propriétaire a été très agréable, aimable et discret; il avait obligeamment réparti les lits à notre gout dans les nombreuses pièces de la maison. Notre séjour aura été pour nous un moment inoubliable: nous recommandons vivement "le Mas des Falaises"

Le bâtiment principal est construit en pierre du pays et décoré avec beaucoup de goût et soins. La literie est très confortable. La piscine à débordement avec vue sur les falaises est à couper le souffle. Le jardin et la végétation très variée autour de la propriété sont extrêmement bien entretenus. Les différents "étages" du jardin apportent beaucoup de charme à celui-ci. Deux suggestions pour la terrasse afin de pouvoir lire, de façon plus agréable, un livre à l'ombre au bord de la piscine: - trouver un système pour ombrager la terrasse devant la piscine (avec des toiles, comme au dessus de la table extérieure?) - installer des transats "classiques" qui ne sont pas posés sur le sol et qui permettent de lire un livre plus confortablement. Nous sommes enchantés de ce séjour et conquis par la charme de ce lieu! Nous ne manquerons pas d'y revenir et de le renseigner.

Fabuleux week-end de trois jours au mois de septembre entre amis dans une magnifique propriété . le cadre est vraiment splendide. Chaque chambre avec salle de bain et WC privatifs reflète une atmosphère différente et conviviale. Grands volumes dans un mas typique provençal très bien équipé. très beau jardin avec sa piscine à débordement. Maison très bien entretenue. Très bonne literie. Un Grand merci à Henri, l’heureux propriétaire, pour sa disponibilité et ses conseils éclairés. Un seul regret : ne pas pouvoir y rester plus longtemps… Mais nous reviendrons.

We spent a long weekend and Mr. Chevaux's property in Le Beaucet and had a lovely time. Our group was composted of nine adults and five children and we were very comfortable in the house, plenty of space for everyone both inside and out. The house was clean and well organised with a classic French style. The area around the property is very private and secluded and the region is naturally beautiful with walking trails and ancient ruins to visit. Mr. Chevaux was an excellent host and we would be very happy to visit the Mas des Falaises again.

We spent one week with a group of friends all aged 60+ in this quiet Provencal villa in the little village of Le Beaucet. We were 5 couples and one single person. We all had our own bedroom with ensuite bathroom. 6 of the bedrooms are spaceous and more or less equivalent but one bedroom, which we didn't use, is smaller and has no windows. The two bedrooms labelled as studio's are situated at the lower floor and are only accessible from outside. Use of an external stair is required which may be a little tricky for older people. Quality of the beds is excellent but some of them are close to the ground. The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of space to eat inside or outside. We appreciated the meal which was offered by the friendly and knowledgeable owner, Mr. Henry, upon our arrival on Saturday. The decoration throughout the house is charming and there is a large collection of books and CD's. The swimming pool is well secluded and offers nice views of the mountain opposite the house. After the early morning hours it is in the shade for the rest of the day. We had most of our lunches next to the pool. Pool chairs are simple. There's a covered BBQ area. There's one decent restaurant in Le Beaucet itself, plenty in the surrounding area (St Didier, Venasque, L'Isle s/Sorgue, Carpentras, etc...). No surprises or extra costs at the end of the week, everything was included. Overall we were very satisfied with our choice! Jos D, Zoersel, Belgium

For Americans accustomed to "fast-food" sophistication, Henri's delightful villa is completely alien to our senses. Is it real? Does such a incredibly unique and well-appointed house seemingly teetering on the edge of Le Beaucet really exist? It is fantastic. Truly fantastic. Without a doubt, my family and I will never, ever forget Monts de Vaucluse. Our only regret is that we had so over scheduled our trip to Provence that we did not have enough time to enjoy Henry's house to the fullest. Reserve at least one full day to enjoy Henri's house and wander the narrow streets of the sublime Le Beaucet. Can you find your way to castle on the top of the hill? Warning: your GPS might send you directly up a steep street to the villa, which is situated on one of the many tiers of Le Beaucet. There are three other, safer ways to approach. Be advised! The first time to the house, in the dark, we went up that 60 degree incline, thinking it was our only way up! It was fun spinning gravel, but it scared the heck out of my kids! I give this house my highest recommendation to both American urban-dwellers craving the chic and to the family vacationers wanting a little flare in their Provence stay. Children will love the infinity pool and the "themed" rooms -- in fact, my children argued half the night over who should get to stay in the "Sea Room." I loved the "Desert Room" the best. There are table games on the patio below. Washer and dryers are also available. Henri was slightly ill during our stay, so I only got a chance to chat with him a few times. From what I gleaned, he is a sweet man, who has put his heart and soul into this house. It truly is a work of art. All my best to Henri and all those with the good taste to enjoy Henri's luxury villa. Stay well.

The Mas is more beautiful than even the photographs. The owner, Henri, who speaks French and English, made us so welcome to this special part of Provence. The house has 6 bedrooms, all with bathrooms en suite, all with the choice of beds together for a king size bed or twins. The kitchen is totally equipped and Brigitte is available to make delicious meals and provide the initial stock of items. Gracefully designed and exceptionally clean , it offers mid week towel exchanges and light cleaning. The property, which looks out over the countryside, has been beautifully landscaped and is maintained to that standard. Totally private, yet close to Avignon, Abbaye de Senanque, Venasque , Pont du Gard and Arles for day trips. The graceful infinity pool is a welcome relief after a day's walking, cycling or touring. Henri the owner is very helpful on local information, restaurants, and sights. While le Beaucet has only one restaurant, we enjoyed restaurants in Venasque, St Didier and Pernes les Fountaines. As this is my second visit to this site, I would definitely recommend it to large families, groups of walkers and cyclists, two or three couples and groups of artists who enjoy the special colours of Provence. Ten different well marked walking circuits lead from the Mas over the stunning mountains of Vaucluse as well as cycling paths. Definitely a jewel in a very special site.
