Beautiful Old Bastide with private pool and heated Nordic bath, near Montcuq

A beautiful property with the garden/pool area being the star of the show. Valerie was extremely helpful throughout our 4 week stay. We would love to return.

The house and its location is absolutely stunning. The children loved the pool and the pool area has lots of different areas both shaded and in the sunshine. We loved sitting out with a drink in the evening, listening to the sounds of nature and nothing else. So peaceful. The accommodation is very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, the showers have good pressure and hot water and the living area is cosy with Netflix etc on the tv plus a lot of dvds to choose from. The owner, Valerie, is attentive and quick to respond but otherwise left us alone to enjoy our holiday. We have had a wonderful time and would recommend this accommodation to anyone wishing to experience the peace and quiet of rural life in a beautiful area of France. We are sad to leave.

We loved our stay here, the pool was so lovely and the house was perfect for us all. The local town of Montcuq is a real gem and only 5 minutes away, so perfect for dinner or an early morning pastry run. Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful house better than photos, so many historic features. Host has made it homely and provides everything you need for self catering. Perfect location, easy to find but no noise at all, just bliss. We both relaxed and even the dog felt right at home. A very special place.

Wir haben 9 Tage in den Pfingstferien dort genossen. Das Haus ist sehr urig, aber mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Die Aussenanlage ist toll. Wir waren mit unseren zwei Teanager-Kindern und unserem Hund dort. Wir haben sowohl den Pool als auch das Nordic Bath sehr gerne benutzt. Fast jeden Tag. Des Weiteren haben wir auch jeden Tag Tischtennis gespielt. Es war sehr schön. Die Vermieterin Valerie ist sehr nett. Sie hat uns beim ersten Mal das Nordic Bath heiss gemacht. In den folgenden Tagen haben wir es selber aufgeheizt. Sie hat es uns aber gezeigt und erklärt, wie es geht. Desweiteren hat sie uns jederzeit ihre Hilfe angeboten. Außerdem hat sie uns mit Informationen versorgt, was in der Umgebung so passiert, z.B. der Markt in Montcouq Sonntags. Es war insgesamt sehr schön und entspannend.

We had an amazing stay in this country house. The location was amazing, we did a lot of hikes and villages visits. Valerie was very nice hostess, she had provided us with good activity tips which were very helpful: like Sunday market at Motcuq and nice hikes around the house. Kids had a lot of fun playing and sunbathing in the garden. There was pingpong table, badminton rackets and yoga mats. Also Scandinavian bath was very nice to take in the evenings - very special experience!

This was the most interesting and beautiful house we have ever stayed in. Original stone walls and stone floors, yet the plumbing and electrical all updated. Amazing backyard with pool, 3 sitting areas, and BarBQ. Surrounded by trees and countryside but only a short 5 minute drive to Montcuq. Our host, Valerie, went above and beyond to make our stay great. This place was worth every penny.
