Beautiful villa in the city heart of Montpellier

This is our first ever review and it was only fair that we took time to recommend Sophie's villa. We were really very lucky to choose this property. As a family, it was exactly what we needed, a beautiful well situated house, relaxing gardens that take advantage of the evening sun, a fabulous pool, handy location and a generous caring hostess. Also we saved ourselves the expense of a car by using the excellent local transport system and taxis as required. Located in a quiet safe suburb, this villa is really perfect for a family with children or a number of couples/friends who want to visit the busy town centre or beach during the day, and then relax by the pool in a quiet neighbourhood that evening. Inside the house is well laid out and appears purpose built - The photos on the internet don't adequately capture the sense of space and comfort. The local tramway which brings you directly to the town centre is a 1 minute walk from the house and there are a number of shops and restaurants / takeaways close by. The local Carrefour Cite supermarket is 15 mins on foot or perhaps 10 mins if you take the tram up the street Sophie and her family were the perfect hosts, perhaps the nicest family we have encountered in our years of renting villas in France and Spain. What can I say to really do this place justice... Modern, spacious and luxurious. That’s what you get if you stay here at the Agapanthe Villa. Three very good sized double bedrooms, one with an ensuite shower room. A big family bathroom serves the other two bedrooms and two separate toilets on each level make your stay not only homely but also very practical. The open plan living space on the second floor is superb, the modern kitchen with dishwasher gives you the home touch once again. A grand dining table and comfortable sofa with two arm chairs allows you to relax after a hard day exploring the city or chilling by the pool. There is air conditioning in all three bedrooms and a fourth unit is located in the living room. The pool area is lovely, a rustic scene with flashes of modern decking create a perfect balance. Sophie has thought of everything to make your stay effortless. There are two sun beds and two sunbathing cushions for those sun worshipers looking to top up your tans. Pool towels are also provided. Sophie will help you with anything, she speaks near perfect English and really makes you feel looked after. Ask for something and it happens straightaway. The Villa is situated in a great location, the city is so easily accessed by the tramway(Boutonnet stop is 1min walk away). A weekly ticket is only €17 and you reach the city centre in under 10mins. Amenities are close by, the Carrefour supermarket is a 8-10 min walk or there is also a Lidl 20mins away by tram. The beaches are an hour away... 45min tram ride and a bus will take you on from the last stop to the beach for €1 each way. If you’re looking for a home from home this is the Villa for you!!!

We spent two weeks over Christmas in this delightful Villa 15 minutes walk from the centre of Montpellier. Although close to a vibrant city it is in a very quiet neighbourhood. The house can sleep 6 comfortably although we were only a party of 5. Sophie and her family were excellent and attentive hosts and we recommend them highly. We will stay in touch and would be more than happy to stay here again when next we are in Montpellier!

What a beautiful home, with a warm and gracious host family in the perfect location, just a block from the trams to take you into the heart of Montpellier in minutes. Grocery store, restaurants and other walkable amenities too. We love the modern decor of the home and the layout was perfect for our family (2 beds down with family bathroom and one up w/ shower). We are already planning our return and will surely stay with Sophie again. Many thanks!!!

We were a group of 5 belgium people, and we really enjoyed our stay! The owners are very friendly! The house is good located, a few tram-stops away from Montpellier city. The garden is a little bit small but very beautiful and the swimmingpool is a plus. The beds were good, big bathroom, airco,... In the kitchen, everhything is availible to cook a dinner. We would recomand it to others. Annelies
