Beautiful Villa with heated pool - just 10 minutes from the sea!

Excellent property, with all you need for a great family getaway. Lovely pool and huge garden. We were made to feel very welcome by Stuart and Michelle. And a nice touch was the welcome pack was waiting for us with gorgeous home made jam.

A lovely villa in a very peaceful location. Even before we arrived, we felt good about this place as the comms with owner was second to none. The villa itself had everything our group needed (4 adults, 2 4yr olds) for a restful but fun holiday. We loved the private pool, the garden, the BBQ's, the space, the quiet! Amenities a shortish drive away, but we really had everything we needed on site so didn't often leave. An easy recommendation for those looking for a great villa experience.

An amazing house to stay with a huge garden hosts. ( wonderful welcome pack ,provision of a doggy pool to help our dog cope with 42 degree heat, pool cleaned every 3 days). The house was extremely well equipped comfortable. Local Supermarkets were well stocked lovely beaches. It is 4km to the nearest boulangerie or tabac so a car is essential

The property was perfect for our family. The pool is well maintained and large allowing lots of fun times for the children. The wildlife in this area is incredible and a pleasure to be around. The little village is quiet and a welcome break from home. It is a good location with good road links to other places you may wish to visit. The house is lovely too, with stunning wooden beams in the living area. It is an easy lay out for families with young children and would have been perfect if we had had a grandparent with us as they have a self contained studio beside the main house. The garden is full of plants/ trees etc and lots of fruit growing. Overall, we had a lovely short stay and we didn't want to leave.

c'était très bien, par contre j'aimerais avoir la facture en euros serait-il possible de m'en faire parvenir par mail. Et aussi penser à la télé en français, par temps de pluie pour les enfants en anglais ce n'est pas pratique Merci beaucoup

Propriété très agréable, bien équipée et fidèle à l'annonce. Pas grand chose à redire, si ce n'est que la salle de bain mériterait d'avoir plus de mobilier pour poser ses affaires et étendre les serviettes. Gérants sympathiques. Région assez riche, la maison est dans un coin tranquille mais beaucoup d'activités sont accessibles en voiture.

Our family of 7 spent a great week at this lovely property with its stunning garden and pool. We arrived late on Sunday afternoon to be greeted by Wendy and were very grateful to find her welcome pack of essentials which meant that, together with our own meagre provisions, we didn’t go hungry on our first night! The house was spacious, well equipped, furnished to a high standard and with very comfortable beds. The garden was huge, with plenty of space for all ages to play in and shade offered at different parts of the day, and the patio area was a focal point for our meals and “chilling” time. Last but not least, the pool was absolutely stunning. Immaculately looked after by Allen, it was always spotlessly clean and a real joy to use. The heated water meant that it was never a shock to get into, especially after the high temperatures experienced during our holiday, but still a great way to cool off at the end of a hot day. It was also safely fenced off from the garden for those families who may have younger children with them. The location is very quiet and relaxing, with lots of birds to be seen, thanks to the local nature reserve, and we enjoyed listening to the crickets and frogs in the vicinity in the evening. As always, the Vendee offers stunning beaches and lends itself to family cycling, given its flattish terrain. There are also many waymarked routes which can be found in the maps and guides “Le Marais Poitevin á Bicyclette”, which can be found in tourist information offices at a cost of 1.50€ for the “Ouest” map, which covers the area of St Denis, or 4€ for the set of 4 for the whole area. We ventured out on “Les Ouiseaux” tour starting from St Denis, aptly named by the sight of many different types of birds on the way, which was just over 30k on very quiet roads and fire tracks. The route was well marked, with only one sign appearing to be slightly confusing, and gave the opportunity to reduce the length of the route by taking shortcuts on the road. Overall, a great family holiday, enjoyed by all of us; thank you Wendy and Allen for your care and availability if needed.

We have just returned from a blissful 2 weeks in the Vendee and stayed in the beautiful La Marette. We have not had a family holiday for years and we managed to get all kids, grand child, grandparents, great grand parents to join us over the course of the fortnight.!! The property just lends itself to large family gatherings - nice patio area for the book readers , great pool for the millennials and large garden for our 2 dogs. Allen and Wendy the Property managers were fantastic , friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and facilities having lived in the region for many years. They were very helpful in getting the required vet visit booked prior to returning to the UK. They also accompanied us and made sure we could communicate with the vet effectively - big relief for us! .All in all a great holiday which exceeded our high expectations all round .
