This is our second visit to the wonderful Maison Cache and yet again we were not disappointed. First the wonderful welcome from Steph supplying us with all the information and supplies we requested, then the first of our sublime home cooked meals - heaven! The accommodation is wonderfully decorated and very comfortable and has everything a family of four with a toddler and baby could need. The addition of the swimming pool was welcome on the warmer days! The surrounding area is visually stunning and relaxed from the moment we arrived. We will be returning soon for another visit and would recommend the property highly.
We spent a glorious week at The Courtyard at Ste Catherine where we were given a really warm welcome by Steph, Charlie, Finn, Lilah, Susie, Jet and the cheeky Luka. Our gite was stylish, spotlessly clean, well equipped and the beds were supremely comfy. We were lucky to be able to dine 'in-house' three times and each time, Steph's superb cooking surpassed itself (if that's possible). The pool was an added bonus and the location was perfect to use as a base to tour the Cognac region. Steph very kindly helped us out with our hire car issue and bent over backwards to ensure our stay was everything we hoped it would be. After our wonderful week there, we were refreshed and recharged - having travelled from Australia, it was a brilliant start to our holidays in France. We highly recommend The Courtyard and hope/plan to stay there again in the very near future!
We had a great time at The Courtyard in the Gîte called: "La Maison Cachée". We were very welcome, our little dogs too.Breakfast and dinner were very good.We look forward to visit them again !!

We stayed for a week in Chez Aristide with our two teenage children. The barn has been beautifully converted, the bedrooms have lovely views and it was very well equipped for self catering, Steph and Charlie were fantastic hosts, with loads of advice on places to go and on hand to offer help if needed but not at all intrusive. When we had a power cut throughout the area they even threw a barbecue for all the guests. There is lots to do in the area in towns such as Cognac and Angouleme and we all loved canoeing down the Charente river near Jarnac. But it was difficult to tear ourselves away from the lovely pool, new this year, with plenty of loungers to relax in. Would definitely recommend for a great holiday.

I would strongly recommend staying here. The Maison cachee was perfect for our family of four. The facilities were amazing, including the new swimming pool. Beautiful accommodation with everything we needed. There is also masses to do in the local area including canoeing, horse riding, biking, swimming, climbing - you name it! The May family were wonderful hosts and we would definitely like to return.
