Between hills and sea, in PROVENCE small independent LOFT, quiet, luxurious comfort

We had 6 weeks in the studio, all of September and the first half of October. Mireille et Gérard were the most hospitable hosts that you could wish for. On our first day they invited us to dinner and we were also invited to a family party. If we had any problems they soon sorted this for us, but they were not intrusive. The studio has recently been completely refurbished, the kitchen area is well kitted out including now a kettle for us Brits and a dishwasher. There is French TV and the internet which does drop out occasionally. The shower room is very nicely appointed. The only difficulty for us was the loft bedroom which has restricted headroom. If you are tall and a bit overweight like me you might struggle. Having said that once up there the double bed was very comfortable. The outside space and pool is very pleasant. Gemenos is a typical Provencal village and is within easy walking distance of the studio, well situated with lots to do close at hand. Cassis, La Ciotat, Bandol, Sanary, St Cyr all on the coast are within 30 minutes drive. In the other direction Aix and the Luberon are within one hours drive. Marseille itself is very impressive. The studio was as described, the mezzanine bedroom requires you to stoop down as the ceiling is low and slopes, however this was not a problem for us and the bed was great. There is another bed settee downstairs if that is easier for you. The studio was clean and fresh with a pleasant ,outside shaded sitting and eating area and the swimming pool was well maintained and attractive. A kettle would be really nice for British visitors. Gemenos town is within walking distance and provided all we needed, with several small parks and good walking areas close by. Our hosts were most hospitable and kind and we would highly recommend this property.
