BETWEEN LAKE AND MOUNTAINS: L'Arcalod - charming ★★★ cottage in the heart of Savoie

A beautiful, modern apartment in a quiet hamlet close to all amenities (need a car). The apartment is well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Everything is very new and of a high standard and with 2 small children we were initially worried, especially with such a high damage deposit. But we were able to move the glass table out of the way and immediately felt more relaxed! The shower is amazing! It was also good to have some outside space to ourselves and we even had our own BBQ, which was a nice touch - but didn't get a chance to use it. We spent a lot of time at the Lake which was about 2km away, .although we preferred the one just south a Taillores (small charge). Faverges is also about 2km away for general shopping which was also open late. Owners daughter lives in building and was available to welcome us and answer any queries. Had a great week, lots to do and see in the area - a trip up the Aguile Du Midi a must if you have a head for heights. A lovely retreat and we would definitely look it up if we visit the area in the future. Thank you Allain, Isobelle and Carolyne.
