😢: Unfortunately not a good experience – not recommended in summer We stayed at this child-friendly accommodation in Melun. The apartment was okay overall – definitely not the cleanest place we’ve stayed in, but nothing too terrible either. However, there were a few issues that really impacted our experience. First, we were not informed in advance that the keys had to be picked up at a completely different location, which was quite a walk away. After we finally got the keys, there was a power outage in the area and we had to wait one hour outside on the street without being able to enter the apartment. During that time, we received no support or guidance, which was frustrating and stressful, especially with children. The apartment is in the attic, and in summer, the heat is absolutely unbearable. We reached out to the host for help or suggestions, and the only response was that there were two fans inside. Unfortunately, these were nowhere near enough – we couldn’t sleep properly because of the heat. Based on this, we cannot recommend staying here during the summer. At checkout, we followed the instructions sent via WhatsApp, which we assumed were complete. Only later did we learn there was a physical note inside the apartment with additional cleaning instructions (e.g., taking out the trash, stripping the beds). Since this was not communicated to us digitally, we missed it – and then received a very unfriendly message charging us €75 for not following these extra instructions. This left a very bad impression. Overall, this stay was not relaxing and we would not recommend this accommodation, especially not in warmer months..
