Calais plage, superbe studio tout confort

😊: Location to the beach and local eateries Studio was really clean and the secure keybox was good. 😢: Nothing we didn't like.

😊: The facilities were good, albeit basic, but suited my needs for a quick one night stop over on my way to the ferry. 😢: The key situation was a bit strange - had to get the keys from a key safe that was locked to the back of a road sign in the car park. There were also 4 keys to get in to the apartment inc 1 external, 3 for the studio door - the host mentioned break ins had occurred in some apartments.. There was a futon instead of a bed but it was ok..

😊: Location. 😢: No holder for the shower Bathroom could do with a make over.

😊: The location and clear communication with the host. 😢: The state of the place. It is a dormitory or similar. First the smell of old people and cigarettes at the foyer, than on the floor of the apartment. Then the room itself is an old place. To call it a hotel would be a big exaggeration. The towels at the place were or new or poorly washed as it left black fuzz on the skin or other clothes. The price per night is too high for the conditions!.

😊: Sandi was very welcoming, generous and friendly and replied to messages very quickly. The apartment is very nice. It is very cosy, quiet and like a home from home and has everything you need. The beach is a few minutes walk and you can get a free bus outside the building which will take you into calais centre (or it is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the centre) or in the other direction it will take you to auchan hypermarket and the buses are free. I highly recommend this apartment.. 😢: There are lots of keys so it takes a while to work out which key is for which lock but also it means the security is very good so you feel safe.
