Calm in Tours - Appartement T2

😊: Comfortable bed, good cooking facilities.. 😢: Accessing the property was very difficult. Instructions are all in French. Access is through the rear car park in a different road to the address. You have to park in the road. Use a 4 digit code to get pedestrian access. Go up several steep steps to a heavy front door with a 5 digit code. Go along a corridor to the lift and up to the third floor. Enter the room by entering a 7 digit code. Collect the garage key fob. Go back downstairs, use one button on the fob to access the car park area and a second button to get into the secure garage. Beware it's a tight space for anything bigger than a 208/ Corsa sized car. On departure you have to let yourself out into the road before taking the key fob back up to the apartment. The apartment is ok. All TV channels including Netflix are all in French. Even feature films are dubbed into French..

😢: I had booked this last minute for work, with high hopes. After paying I was sent an email to give my personal details and then asked for a large deposit. I have no issue with deposits, but I have an issue with it not being stated up front that there is one, especially a large one. And an issue with paying such a sum of money to someone I have no knowledge of. In my hurry, I missed the fine print, so essentially my fault. But, I have been booking with Booking .com for over 20 years and have never had this happen. The host basically said 'too bad'. Contacting Booking .com Customer Service, they had to tell me where to find the information - scroll to the the very bottom of a long page. If a place wants a deposit, it should make it clear in the immediate information and/or price payment point. Not hide it as the last item after everything else..

😊: Spotless clean. Spacious. Secure parking. All the appliances to cook etc. Really very nice accommodation.. 😢: The large deposit I had to pay. It is mentioned in the fine print, so I cannot realy complain about it but that part took some time and extra effort. Getting into the building, the keys, codes etc is slightly complicated but not difficult and ends up being very secure and easy..

😊: Adrien is very good host , clear explanation how to get in the apartment . Very convenient place if you come by car . Safe ,clean and nice place.There's a supermarket opposite the apartment !.
