Caporizon-Sarlat l'élégance-T2 Plein centre cité médiévale

😊: The location was excellent, right in the heart of the old town, and we loved the decor of the apartment too. The space was cleverly designed and it was good to have air con (only in the lounge though, not the bedroom). Despite being in the heart of the town, no sounds from outside kept us awake.. 😢: The owners were already aware of the constantly dripping/refilling toilet but hadn't done anything about it before our arrival. As the bathroom was right next to the bedroom, this kept us awake. The apartment is also in need of a little tlc with threadbare carpets etc. Finally, we felt that the cleaning pressure was very overboard and a way of trying to scare us into paying more for a cleaning fee (which we didn't do).

😊: Air conditioning. 😢: Arrived at 9 pm after 13 hours travelling. No complimentary basics,no tea,sugar,coffee, nothing. Drank water and went to bed. Bedding was polyester, polyester covered duvet was enclosed on 4 sides,no cover to be washed between guests.toilet had brown stains . I then received an email from host BEFORE B.coms usual email inviting a review. It said they had left a score of 10/10 on my profile on the platform so would i score them 10/10. Extensive research shows there is no such platform with profiles of guests, hosts cannot leave reviews or scores,it would breach guests privacy. If it did exist what use would it be if it only contained my first name, Marion? I invite claire et maxime to reply and give details of this platform containing guests profiles, and prove they were truthful.

😊: The property was in a perfect location. 😢: We arrived at 4pm and there was no electricity at the apartment. I contacted the owners and they said it was due to an electricity outage in the area and that it would be back on soon. The electricity came back on very briefly and then went off again. This was a huge problem for us as the entry system to the accommodation was an electrical box, so without electricity there was no way to gain entry into the apartment. On top of that, the weather was 38 degrees, we had no air conditioning/ventilator, we were unable to use any of the facilities in the apartment, and not even able to charge our phones, or even leave the apartment to enjoy the area. The owners simply replied asking us to wait in the apartment until there was a solution. We waited and waited and hear nothing from them, my husband went to the restaurant next the apartment and asked for more information and they told us that the electricity would not be back on until the next day!! We contacted the owners again but this time they did not reply. We tried calling them and they responded saying that they couldn’t answer the phone because they were in a ‘meeting’ - at 9pm at night??? The lack of communication was truly unsettling when we were in such a horrible situation!! We didn’t receive any communication from the until the following morning when we had already checked out. On top of our awful stay, the toilet located right next to the bedroom, had a bad plumbing issue and was just constantly running water very loudly, which we had to listen to the whole night. Very disappointed with how they handled the situation. There was no consideration or empathy from their end whatsoever..

😊: Beautiful and interesting apartment in the heart of the old town! Comfortable and clean. Easy self check in.. 😢: We only stayed for one night so the late check in time and early check out made it seem less value for money as we weren't in the apartment for long!.

😊: A beautiful, stylish and elegant apartment right in the heart of Sarlat’s old town. The location is perfect for exploring the historic center on foot, while the apartment itself is full of charm. A wonderful place to stay – highly recommended!.
