😊: Great house inside was great lots of room and nice facilities.. 😢: The yard and veranda were run down..

😊: The house was exceptionally clean and spacious. The photographs do not do it justice. Downstairs there is a very large sitting / dining room furnished with three large settees, dining room table and chairs, coffee tables and a wall mounted TV. Adjacent to this is the dining / kitchen room with table and chairs. There are lots of cupboard space and a fully equipped kitchen with large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven etc. A cloakroom and a large double bedroom with en-suite complete the layout downstairs. Upstairs there are two very large en-suite double bedrooms. In addition, each of these rooms contain a double bed settee. All en-suite rooms are spacious with dual/triple shower, twin sinks and WC. Travel cots and high chairs are also available. Bed linen, towels, tea towels are provided. All rooms have air conditioning and blackout/security shutters at the windows. Outside there is a large patio area with dining table and chairs, sun loungers and plenty of room for parking. Outdoor lighting at night.. 😢: The look of the house from the front could be off putting when the shutters are closed and there is a lot of outdoor space which could be utilised more effectively..

😊: Location was very good for the centre of Ambrose and the chateau . With in walking distance and cycling is good.. 😢: We had to go shopping straight away because there was no welcome pack not even coffee pods,salt ,pepper, or oil. Also, there were no visitors leaflets to let us know what activities were in the area..

😊: Walking distance of Amboise centre, go via the ecole maternelle, nicer route. A good base to see the chateau of the Loire valley. Some issues initially getting the wifi set up, but solved extremely quickly. Short drive to Chenenceau and a longer one to Chambord. There are good supermarkets nearby..
