Cauroy Les Hermonville: Spacious cottage, fully renovated with style decoration. All mod cons.

Great host. Great location. Lovely place.Francine was so helpful and made some great suggestions for things to do with my young daughters.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cauroy Les Hermonville. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable with everything you could need in the kitchen. We enjoyed the charming garden with table for outdoor dining. Everything is just as it appears in the photos. The village is quiet and relaxing and is perfect for those who prefer lodging outside of the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities. There is a bakery conveniently located 5 minutes by car and there is a supermarket close by as well. Cauroy is an ideal location for visiting the Champagne region. Epernay and Reims are a short drive away. For those interested in WWI history, the tour of the Caverne du Dragon is not to be missed. There is so much to discover! We wish we had more time here. Francine and Jérome were outstanding hosts. They were friendly, knowledgeable and generous with their time. They made us feel right at home. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality! We highly recommend staying here. We look forward to returning in the future.

Lovely, well appointed cottage with lots of space in a quiet village. Francine is a great host and pointed out lots of sightseeing, champagne tasting options, restaurants etc. Her English is brilliant.

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious gite which was fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable holiday. Francine and Jerome were very friendly helpful hosts and there is lots of information in the gite about champagne houses, historic sites and other attractions in the area. There is secure storage for bicycles and a small garden for dining outside or drying washing. The bathroom is very spacious with a lovely shower and the bedrooms have plenty of storage and hanging space. We would thoroughly recommend a visit to the barrel-making business run by Jerome. Stephanie the English speaking guide gave an excellent tour. The village is very quiet and you can find a corner shop, bakery, tearoom/pub and restaurant in nearby Hermonville and a supermarket in Cormicy. There is a bus stop opposite the gite (not very frequent service though) if you don't want to drive to Reims but we used park and ride and tram.

Our family spent a great 2 days in this home which had everything we could possibly need. The hostess Francine was so kind and helpful with suggestions on what to see and where to go. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Francine's gite. The accommodation was fab, plenty of space and a lovely little garden outside. We were fortunate enough to be there during a heatwave so we enjoyed eating out in the garden most nights. The gite is situated in a quiet little village and is a 2-minute drive from Hermonville where there are a nice restaurant and bakery etc. Would definitely recommend visiting the Champagne houses in the surrounding area, especially Celine (who Francine will recommend to you) - their Champagne is beautiful and affordable and Celine gives a very informative and interesting tour. Also would highly recommend taking Francine up on the tour of their business in which they create barrels to hold champagne, which is free if you are staying a full week. Overall, if you're looking for a relaxing and interesting holiday - this is the place to visit!

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The gite has a very relaxing feel, is spacious, airy and well equipped. We enjoyed eating outside every evening in the small garden area. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and It took us under an hour from the gite to the city centre, using the park and ride. Une base ideale pour explorer la region Champagne!
