CENTRAL SARLAT. STONE VILLA IN LARGE GARDENS WITH PRIVATE POOL.

We were very impressed with this property. The garden was meticulously maintained, and the pool was perfect after a hot day out sightseeing. Communication with Karen was easy and she even gave us restaurant recommendations and called one of them for us to put in a reservation before we arrived in France. The pool gate was a great relief to us since we had a young child traveling with us, and it completely closed off the pool and was kept locked with a code for safety. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. This hasn't been my experience with all rental properties, which was much appreciated as we were traveling abroad and could not really bring kitchen essentials with us. Stairs are a bit steep, but it was no problem for us. If you have someone who can't do stairs in your party, that might be an issue for you. There are handrails on both sets of stairs. The location is ideal as you can easily walk into Sarlat for dining or whatever you need, but it's also easy to drive out of town to get to the grocery store or explore all the many amazing sights of the Dordogne. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to this area!

This villa was just wonderful. It is well laid out, comfortable and the gardens/pool are perfect for a holiday break. We used the pool most days, went into Sarlat every day too. Lovely BBQ areas should you wish to use. The eateries in the medieval quarter are well worth visiting, we didn't have one bad meal. Explore the side streets for architecture and galleries, there were plenty of exhibitions when we went. Karen couldn't have improved on her pleasant efficiency, a real delight to deal with and incredibly helpful. Thank you Karen, we will return.

We stayed at La Peyiere for multiple weeks late Spring 2018. Everything about the house and location were perfect. La Peyriere is really ideal in that the house and gardens are serene and private, and yet the center of Sarlat is only a quick ten minute walk (maybe a bit longer coming back from town, uphill). It's easy to park your car at the house and drive through the spectacular Perigard countryside. The house combines old Perigard golden stone construction, with lots of windows, and modern amenities with brand new kitchen appliances. Everything was spotless, comfortable and well appointed. Two different couples stayed with us during parts of our rental, and they were blown away. It was nice that they also had a great time, and that La Peyriere gave us a great opportunity to be gracious hosts. The communication with both the owners and the local staff was outstanding. They proactively reached out to us several times to make sure that everything was in order, which was greatly appreciated even though we had no issues or requests. Although we had very high expectations prior to arriving, they were all met or exceeded. We've stayed at many vacation rentals around the world, and can't rate La Peyriere or the owners highly enough.

We enjoyed a brilliant week at La Peyriere. Secluded and yet ready access to the fantastic town of Sarlat allowed brilliant BBQ's and pool side lunches in equal measure to the countless restaurants and bistros. The property offered a number of gardens for the kids to explore and we were pleasantly impressed with the high standard of electrical equipment in the house. We look forward to visiting again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa la Peyriere in August this year. The house is close to everything we needed with many places to eat, explore and shop right on our doorstep but secluded and private enough to allow us to feel as if we had 'got away from it all'. The house, gardens and pool, all carefully maintained, were perfect for our needs (three generations of one family) with space to play games, read, eat and relax both inside and out. The weather was very warm while we were staying and the pool and the shade provided by the trees and the impressive sun umbrella on the terrace by the house, meant we could comfortably enjoy being outside however hot it was. The gardens are really lovely and we did our best to keep the pots watered as it was very hot on some days. There is much to do in the surrounding area and the owners were most helpful in providing suggestions for places to visit and activities to try. While we did get out to visit local chateaux, markets and of course the stunning medieval quarter of Sarlat itself, we also spent a lot of time around the house and gardens, as we were looking for a relaxing break. Villa la Peyriere did not disappoint! We would love to return, perhaps at a different time of year, and would recommend the villa to others without hesitation.

Another couple of weeks in Karen's excellent villa. This is our 4th time and as a family we've loved everything about it, from its location, walking distance to Sarlat, to its facilities. This year Karen has upgraded the kitchen and the patio furniture. Great facilities, lovely home and we love being there. Well done Karen.

Beautiful house in gorgeous garden setting. Spacious and clean, with private pool and locally situated. We enjoyed our stay as a family of four and would return. It's a short walk to town; ideal for shopping or dining out. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals. We liked visiting local villages, castles and gardens.
