CESSERAS MAISON de village "LE PORTAIL BLEU"

It was all pretty much perfect - the icing on the cake would be another little bar/ cafe/ restaurant in the area to add some variety/ provide somewhere else to eat when the tabac is shut.The weather was very, very hot but the plunge pool provided great relief, and Catherine and Thierry were in hand when we needed some assistance. Providing a welcoming bottle of wine and some home made apricot jam! All in all we couldn’t fault it and there were some lovely villages/ towns/ cities to visit fairly close by! A real treat!

Nice stone house in the heart of a quaint village. It was tough to find, but worth it.

The house was magical as soon as we opened the large blue doors. Everything there you need. Beautifully clean house and pool. Very kind hosts. Would return every year if I could.

We stayed for one week in this lovely spacious house which had everything we needed for a perfect short break. Take care on the stairs! The property was clean, well equipped (kitchen, bathroom). There are numerous rooms with dining areas which was great. Outside there is a nice plunge pool (we did not take a dip though, water not quite warm enough for us in mid-September!) and there is good space for a BBQ. There is a small shop a few minutes walk away (open morning and later afternoon when we were there), a bar also a few minutes walk away. A car is needed if you want to explore other areas and parking is available right outside the blue gates (best to reverse along the narrow passage). Very well equipped house! Nice swimming pool, lots of space. Charming hosts. No vermins like spiders.....we often rent a holiday home. But this one is the best. No soft beds though...

Great place with plenty of space for our family of four. Had everything we needed and the pool was a welcome treat in the heat wave. Wonderful location for exploring the area and great bakery’s in nearby Olonzac. We would love to stay there again!

Could not have been more impressed. You really get so much for your money in terms of a lovely village enveloped by vineyards, a pretty and child-safe garden, and a spacious house that is clean and incredibly well stocked with all that you could need. The dining spaces and facilities lend themselves well to great food and great experiences; there is a barbecue, a griddle, a hot plate and an oven, and there are four or so places to dine that let you make the best of the conditions at the time. The surrounding area is very scenic and civilisation and the coast are but a short drive away. I was drawn there by the pictures but the reality is much better. Graham, Laura and Alexandra
