Chalet Arthur: Chalet indépendant aux Portes du Soleil, La Chapelle d'Abondance

Beautiful, well equipped and pretty large property (for our family of 4) in a lovely area near to Chantal. Plenty to do in the area and the owner (who lives very nearby) helpfully provides passes which allow free access to many of the local chairlifts in addition to other amenities.

We had an excellent stay. Only things that could have been better is that the main road is a bit noisy, but not too much and there were construction works across the road.Very kind hosts, we also could use passes for the area, including free lifts.Very content.

Beautiful area and lovely chalet (everything we needed). Very comfortable, warm and welcoming. We went to ski as a family and although the snow was sparse, it was enough for us. Arthur is in an ideal location. Peaceful yet conveniently placed for food shopping, skiing and villages, yet away from the hustle and bustle. Richard and Angela were perfect hosts. Lovely to meet them!

Chalet parfait pour notre famille avec 3 jeunes de 22 à 18 ans. Tout est très bien organisé et en parfait état. Les chambres sont très agréables avec des lits conforts. Les salles de bain sont comme neuves et les serviettes bien grandes et douces. La cuisine est comme neuve et il y a tout pour cuisiner. Les deux séjours du haut et du bas sont bien appréciables pour que chacun ait son espace. La vallée offre des possibilités de randonnées magnifiques et la proximité avec la Suisse et le lac leman permet même des baignades. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et discrets tout en étant dans une maison proche ce qui est rassurant en cas de soucis. Le supermarché est accessible à pied et dispose de tout le nécessaire. Les seuls petits bémols la route pas très loin qui peut perturber le calme de la montagne.

Our skiing trip/stay at Chalet Arthur was beyond expectations. The surroundings and the chalet are wonderful, even better than the pictures; the atmosphere, a warm authentic interior, a cosy fireplace... The chalet is amazingly well equipped and accommodating. At arrival, towels, bed linnen, washing up liquids, toiletpaper etc were available and even cleaning and laundry charge are included. There is a key box (you will receive a code) at the front door; late arrival was not a problem. Also very convenient, a big supermarket (±500m) towards Chatel, were you can buy everything. Richard the owner was extremely helpful. One of the us left his passport/credit card in a drawer; the next day he already send us a package! We highly recommend Chalet Arthur to everyone, thank you Richard for being the perfect host!
