Amazing chalet. Very clean and in a beautiful location. Hot tub, sauna and swimming pool very clean. Hosts were friendly and the bottle of wine and free ticket to the castle were very nice welcoming gifts. Highly recommended.

Our host could not have been more welcoming. The property was well stocked with fantastic views and space. The hot tub and sauna where used regularly and everything was in perfect working order. A lovely spot in a great location

We loved the chalet. We had a warm welcome from Philippe despite our late arrival. We had everything we needed and more - loads of kitchen equipment, comfortable beds, plus very necessary pool and air con. The local Boulangerie and Epicerie kept us well fed. A perfect place - thank you!

A lovely chalet type property in a delightful garden. Safe and fun for children - and adults - with hot tub and sauna. Idyllic rural setting with nature all around. Some great restaurants around and about. Helpful and friendly locals. Our host, Phillipe was excellent. Google translation was a big help! We would love a return visit.

The property is a very nice looking wooden house. The facilities are excellent.A welcome pack was very much appreciated,and nothing was too much trouble for Phillipe and a few teething problems were very quickly sorted out. The village of Saissac is lovely,with fantastic views to the Pyranees.

The accommodation was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We had three children and three adults and felt very at home in the cottage. The garden is secure and large for the children to play in, there is a selection of toys and bikes free to use. The pool is a good size although even when heated was a little to cold, but this is October in the summer I would think it would be perfect. The complementary wine on arrival was very welcome. Saissac is a beautiful little village with stunning views, only down side was again as we visited in October the cafes were only open for lunch. We will return one year in the summer and rate this holiday with 5 stars.

We have just returned from a perfect stay at the fabulous Chalet Cathare. The Chalet is in a great peaceful location, very close to the beautiful Saissac with it's amazing castle and vista over the snow capped mountains in the distance. Lots of nice walking and bike rides to be found locally (bikes provided at the chalet). It's just a short hop to Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi and lots of interesting sites locally. Lots of leaflets are available at the chalet. The Chalet is clean, modern, well maintained and spacious and has everything you could possibly need (It is by far the best equipped Gite we have stayed in, the owners really have thought of everything). The beds are very comfortable, which is a bonus and linen and towels were supplied. The owners are delightful, friendly and knowledgeable. A fabulous welcome basket with local produce and a wealth of advice about the local area were provided. I really couldn't recommend this place more highly, we really did have a wonderful stay and its definitely somewhere you should consider as a holiday destination.
