Chalet Gamelbarn - Morzine Avoriaz with stunning mountain views

😊: This chalet is so spacious with excellent spec Bedrooms very comfortable All the bathrooms were modern with fantastic showers. 😢: The boot room games room and hot tub.

😊: Amazingly decorated, homey, renovated property.. 😢: Upon arrival the home was really gross. Poop left in one of the toilets (proof of photos) pubic hair every where in the bathroom, the glasses throughout are smeared because whoever cleans the property doesn’t use the right products for the purposes. They are from the UK and have a vacuum with plugs and a broken adapter that we would have not left this review should we be able to just clean it ourselves, there is a book of all things you need to know about the property shoved in a drawer that has the owners medicine/ junk shoved in. Pots and pans were put back not cleaned (there was human hair in the drawers) Location is great for hiking in the summer but totally inconvenient for skiing reasons. Not family friendly at all, not walkable to anything if it’s snowing, you must take the car everywhere, if it does snow a lot not sure this owner would be available to have a company come plow/ shovel in time to get out to ski etc. The property is outrageously priced for the airbnb feel it gives, example sheets are super poor quality, huge yellow stain in the middle of the duvet set, horrible pillows (we luckily brought our own because this is not uncommon). Carpet that sheds and trails throughout the house and your clothes. The entire property is dusty, like walking down from the tv area the kitchen cabinet tops are just filthy, something really not desirable when cooking at the home. Also, when leaving we were asked to ensure wash tablets soap and toilet paper were available to the next guests. This is not how “luxury “ chalet management works even if we left lots of new trash bags and even washing powder for the machine. This review would be avoidable if the place was just professionally cleaned and or you don’t charge this astronomical price for basically a glorified airbnb listing that made its way to booking.com unfortunately. We would never stay in this area again and the overall unfriendliness of the host just getting started on booking.com.
