We enjoyed a lot our stay in chalet l'ecrin. It is a great base to explore la grave (or if you prefer the neighbouring ski centres of Serre Chevalier, Alps d'Huez and Deux Alps). the house was very well equipped, warm, spacious, cosy and very clean!!!

Very good<br>#128577; Access to the Chalet is a foothpath of about 75m which is not well maintained by the local community. Direct access by car is not possible.

Chalet L’Ecrin is an amazing place to stay. Warm, comfortable and spacious. Super central location in La Grave. Access could be difficult in a big snow year but no problem for us with steps cut in the snow to the front door. We had 3 people but it would have felt spacious/comfortable for the 6 people it could sleep. The host has a local contact who is available at short notice. Be prepared to find the hidden draw that holds cutlery! It was very well appointed with more than enough crockery and excellent cooking facilities. The only down side was the dishwasher being a bit rubbish with sub-optimal cleaning.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this modern and spacious chalet, situated right in front of the wildly romantic Meije and the Romanche mountain river. A great starting point for many outdoor activities!
