Chalet L'épilobe et son sauna Hautes Vosges , grand espace naturel, calme

A very comfortable gite with plenty of facilities and in beautiful surroundings. The owner, who lives close by, was extremely helpful and friendly both before and during the stay. We stayed for two weeks at the beginning of June 2013. The area has some spectacular scenery and the mountain pass just up the road from the gite never gets boring. This would be a great area to visit for walkers, but is also lovely for those, like us, who are more sedentary. The only disappointment about the region was the food, which was not as much to our taste as other areas of France. However excellent markets and supermarkets, together with the well-equipped kitchen made up for that. Many thanks to the owner for her hospitality.
