Chalet le Dahu-Calm-Jacuzzi-Free parking lot

😊: This property simply ticks all the boxes. The layout is well planned, beds are comfy, linen/towels are provided, fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, outdoor jacuzzi with a great view. Far enough from the centre to avoid the buzz yet at walking distance.. 😢: We ran out of dishwasher tabs (3 provided for a week) and toilet paper..

😊: Lovely chalet, lots of space for the two of us to relax after walking in the nearby mountains. Very easy access to the Route des Cretes and all the sites along it, and easy to pop to the supermarket 10 mins down the road too. Plus some lovely local shops and restaurants nearby too (highly recommended the raclette bar, and the local delicacies shop). Quiet location, we didn’t see anyone else nearby but we were there out of season (and in season there should be a shop on site I think). The hot tub was warm and spacious and clean, and very pretty with the lights. Overall excellent stay and excellent value for money.. 😢: The kitchen is small, only big enough for one person (this is obvious from the photos!), but it’s still a sociable kitchen as it’s open plan with the dining room, so that’s nice! The knives are quite blunt tho. The wood store has very odd shaped pieces of wood which did make lighting the fire challenging. Lovely once it got going but would recommend getting fire lighters. The best bathroom for showers is on the same level as the kitchen/dining room, and not the same level as the bedrooms (tho there is a second bathroom on that level). Just something to be aware of. Overall great chalet and great location and the hosts were responsive. Considering check in isn’t til 5pm and checkout is at 10am it’s a shame that guests are asked to make sure the dishwasher is emptied (loaded and clean should be sufficient) and that the bins are put out (although it’s not specified where to put them), and that the beds need to be stripped. These all feel like things that the cleaning crew should be doing, especially in 7 hours. I’d also suggest better instructions on where to leave the car as the only instructions mention where not to put it!.
